They also asked for a copy of my bank book

You only needed to ask for a 3 month statement as the seasoning is 2 months from the date you apply, and even though you had the standard bank letter you still would have to had updated your bank book AND made copies of the relevant pages in it as well. Those three things are pretty standard requirement out there

There was no need for a witness as others have reported at other immigration offices

They don't do "bring a witness" at Chaengwattana 🙂

Making an appt sure speeds the process, and you check your documents at the document check cubby (1st one on the right as you enter Section L-1)

That is true. But when I did it last year for some reason the IO sent me back down to Bangkok Bank to get a 12 month statement. I am not sure why as I had more than 400k and it was very well seasoned. So today I thought there's no difference to me really if I ask for three months or six months, so played it safe. Probably didn't need to but I have no idea why I was asked for a longer statement last time round.

You would assume with a letter from the bank and a full six month statement this wouldn't be necessary

Indeed, and for my last Non-O annual marriage extension at CW with money in the bank (by way of fixed deposit) in Nov 2024, the 6 months (or 3 months) bank statements wasn't required or asked for. I provided my bank letter (issued same day) and copy of my bank book and that was sufficient for meeting that particular parameter back then.

For those renewing on the Work angle, here is my list. I have somewhat perfected this over the years and tend to bring along MORE than what they post online. Remember, at least 2 copies of everything. I keep one file called ORIGNALs and the other called COPIES. IO's seem to like that. I go over the top so that they cannot trick me and waste my time (yes, its takes time to put all this together but rather than waste another day at Immigratiom...i be thorough:

I agree it is always better to have more than you need as it is super annoying to have to go back if you are asked for something you don't have.

Just on the TM7 it is not necessary to only fill it out in ink in front of them. I always complete mine on the PDF itself then print it out - easier to read. I only sign it in front of them.

And I always use Google maps.
