The Laotian girl: arrived 5 days ago, from the farm. Got an infection here. I told her,  in Thailand,  if sick,  people go see a doctor (a new concept for her). He may give you medicine. She did that and got cured.  Learned quickly.

The Indian: moved in last week. Throws all his loose trash (not put in plastic bags) into the basket clearly labeled "for recyclables". (Labels in English and pictograms). Disgusting. How to handle this? Just ignore? I doesn't look like he will learn.

The  Americans: moved here 2 years ago. Shouting at each other chatting in front of the lift. Asked if they realize they disturb everybody else, they don't even hear the person asking.  Shouted at in American volume, they answer "no". Leave them alone,  hopeless.

I love the Thais :sorry:

As an American, not of the type above but I can tell you that is just about impossible to change an a-hole.  I have seen the generations younger than me and they seem to be a tad worse for each new one and at least 50% of mine is useless too.  Just remember I am in the same generation as the current US president.  I rest my case.

I mostly don't mind the content but the volume hurts my ears sometimes, some must be partially deaf, no need to talk so loudly

Well, in my life of 78 years, I began living/working almost full time since 1966 and have done so in many countries of Europe, Asia, Central America and Africa - the complaint you just mentined has been universal in all the countries that I have stayed in, not only from the locals but the other foreigners there too!  But, I notice lately, that the Chinese tourist/visitors seem to be a tad like that too.

The Laotian girl has by now learned how a lift works: to go to the ground floor, press 1.

She wears Thai clothes now - when she arrived,  she wore clothes my grandma would find old-fashioned.

The Indian gets used to his new home, too: he now throws his trash into the hall, in front of his neighbors' doors.

And the Americans? Divide et impera! Use tricks to keep them separated, one by one - alone,  they cannot speak,  because they don't know any language.

Noise in Thailand is unbearable. I wear earbuds these days. I believe most people are already deaf.

You must live in a city or along a busy road. It’s pretty dang quiet out in these here parts.

I thought that the Chinese made Americans look like they whisper?

Update: the Indian has learned.  Not as quickly as the Laotian, but he now puts his trash in trash bags and throws them into the garbage can, separate from the recyclables. Just like everybody else. No idea, who taught him. Maybe he is just smart.
