Thailand delays some requirements of new cannabis rules

Thailand's health ministry has postponed the enforcement of new cannabis regulations by 30–60 days, responding to public concern and allowing more time for adaptation. Under the upcoming rules, sellers will need official permits and must document every cannabis flower sale.

Devices Found at Tourist Areas Were Campaign to Cause Alarm

The Region 4 Army Commander, gave an update on 28 June, stating authorities have uncovered and safely neutralised eight suspicious devices planted at popular tourist locations across Phuket between 24 and 27 June, thus prompting heightened security fears and was a coordinated attempt to sow public fear.

Protesters Rally at Victory Monument Calling for PM’s Resignation

An anti-government demonstration led by the People’s Alliance for the Protection of Sovereignty (CPT) is taking place at Bangkok’s Victory Monument on 28 June, as protest leaders reiterated three demands: the resignation of Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, the withdrawal of coalition parties from government and a national show of force to protect Thai sovereignty.

Thai Man’s Daring ‘Spider-Man’ Wakes South African Teacher in Apartment Fire

A South African teacher was woken by quick-thinking Thai neighbour who performed a daring balcony-to-balcony climb to rouse him from sleep as flames were spotted on his third-floor flat in Chachoengsao province.
