Thailand delays some requirements of new cannabis rules

Thailand's health ministry has postponed the enforcement of new cannabis regulations by 30–60 days, responding to public concern and allowing more time for adaptation. Under the upcoming rules, sellers will need official permits and must document every cannabis flower sale.

Protesters Rally at Victory Monument Calling for PM’s Resignation

An anti-government demonstration led by the People’s Alliance for the Protection of Sovereignty (CPT) is taking place at Bangkok’s Victory Monument on 28 June, as protest leaders reiterated three demands: the resignation of Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, the withdrawal of coalition parties from government and a national show of force to protect Thai sovereignty.

Police have arrested three men, including a former computer engineering student who failed to complete his studies, for orchestrating a sophisticated nationwide scam involving fraudulent credit card applications. The criminal operation is believed to have caused losses of at least 20 million baht and funded a luxurious lifestyle involving luxury cars, gambling and high-end living.
