In a bizarre twist of fate, a car in northwestern Germany became airborne and crash-landed onto a barn roof, seriously injuring a 7-year-old boy on a trampoline.

The dramatic accident unfolded in Bohmte, where the vehicle first collided with a parked car, broke through a hedge, and veered into a garden before launching skyward and embedding itself three metres (approximately 10 feet) high in the barn's roof.

The driver, a 42-year-old man, and his wife sustained serious injuries, while their two sons and a teenage passenger miraculously escaped with minor injuries.

The boy on the trampoline suffered grave injuries, prompting dozens of firefighters, ambulances, and two rescue helicopters to respond to the chaotic scene.

Images from the event reveal rescuers cutting through the barn’s roof to access the perilously perched vehicle. The car's dramatic flight path saw it hurtling through a children’s playground before its fateful landing. Authorities used a crane to delicately remove the car from its precarious position.

A full investigation is now in progress to uncover the factors leading to this extraordinary incident. The local police have yet to determine the exact cause of the airborne trajectory, leaving many questions unanswered.
