Military commanders from Thailand and Cambodia have jointly agreed to a seven point plan, to maintain the ceasefire, along all three key border zones, pending high-level talks scheduled for 4 August under the General Border Committee (GBC) framework.

A ten-wheeled lorry transporting 2,500 live chickens caused a dramatic eight-vehicle pile-up during rush hour in Chachoengsao province on the morning of 29 July, after its brakes reportedly failed while approaching a busy intersection. Over 30 people were affected, including schoolchildren, government employees and medical personnel going to work,but miraculously, no one suffered life-threatening injuries.

Cyber Police Arrest Money Mule in Fraudulent “Ohkajhu” Investment Scam

Cyber police have arrested a key suspect involved in an elaborate scam that impersonated the popular organic restaurant brand “Ohkajhu,” tricking a victim into investing more than 500,000 baht. Officers were able to freeze and recover 350,000 baht, which will be returned to the victim.

A suspected illegal fireworks factory explosion in Suphan Buri has claimed ten lives and left one person seriously injured, in one of Thailand’s deadliest recent industrial incidents. The blast ripped through two homes and destroyed a car in Moo 1, Ban Pho Tha Sai, in Mueang District, just before midday.
