border clashes with Cambodia continue to escalate

Obviously both nations do not have the ability to back away from military confrontations.

Perhaps Thailand and Cambodia can make a joint request for a UN Peacekeeping force to occupy the alleged border areas until civilized behavior by both country's Governments can discuss resolutions.

Thailand has been a significant contributor to UN peacekeeping operations, having deployed over 20,000 personnel to more than 20 missions since 1950.

  • Nup! Border skirmishes do not equate to being at war.

Here is a clear example of the trolling thumb down emoji. Thailand and Cambodia ARE NOT AT WAR and there is a huge difference between being at war and border skirmishes. Obviously those that gave the thumb down emoji are either trolling or stupid. Probably both.

The western media has been blowing it up  (no pun intended) out of all proportion, and much damage to tourism has already been done.

They are to busy selling gunga and trying to legalise casinos

Cost of the misplaced "national pride".

If they were fanatically waving national flag before and after that senseless war, accept its result.

War and tourism don't mix.

The longer this conflict keeps making the news, the more it will affect bookings for the upcoming high season which should be coming in already around this time.

take care of tourists

If the war is continuing and extending there will be no tourists to take care about.

Some egos seem to be too big to make peace.

The Thai Tourist board only worry about the main tourist destinations Bangkok Phuket Pattaya and probably Hua  Hin 💰 🤑

If these areas are effected then there could be problems 😱

Maybank warns that if the ceasefire fails for the remainder of the year, Thai GDP might shrink by 0.7 percentage points and Cambodian GDP by 2 percentage points in the latter half of 2025.

Scam centres go from 60% of the the GDP to 62% of the GDP of Cambodia.
