It would have been worse if Harris won that election. We most likely would have already been invaded by enemies and turned into a Chinese or Russian country with her. She had no backbone and completely unable to handle making decisions as well as managing finances or dealing with other country leaders. She would have been a face only controlled by other Democrat. (kind of like Biden was)

They're getting all the due diligence they're entitled to.  You may not be happy with the level, but it's been that way for decades.  I've been pulled over dozens of times within 100 miles of the Texas border, starting in the '80s when I worked the oilfields of S Texas.  It never seemed kosher, but them's the rules.  Long before Trump.

The facility, constructed with federal funds but run by the state, straddles a murky jurisdiction, leaving courts and officials perplexed.

 

Governor Ron DeSantis claims Florida is executing federal immigration policies, with promises of reimbursement left unfulfilled. This adds complexity to an already fraught situation, once considered a key component of the US president's ambitious deportation plans.

 

Alligator Alcatraz’s lightning-fast creation transformed the Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport into a massive, 3,000-capacity detention site. The facility’s proximity to crucial tribal lands has sparked fierce resistance, with the Miccosukee Tribe joining litigation efforts last month to protect their historical and cultural heritage.

 

As court hearings continue next week, eyes will remain fixed on Miami to see how these complex legal and environmental issues are resolved. The halt on construction may be temporary, but it underscores significant regional tensions and unresolved questions about jurisdiction and environmental stewardship.

14th amendment to Constitution, supreme law of the land: "nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws." so you are flat out wrong about "all the due diligence they're entitled to", chapter and verse. Hope you can understand the plain English. 

Your being pulled over in S Texas has nothing to do with "any person" getting due process... unless you wanted to make a case of it and take it to the courts... I assume it has something to do with probable cause, the why they pulled you over not stated. IF they had no cause you could have won your case which could change the law and get you maybe a tidy sum.

"Not happy with it's been that way for decades" indicates you don't grasp the importance of courts and the Constitution. Slavery was legal & had been that way since 1619 which is basis for amendments. 

It is typical for those in power to overstep their bounds trying to get more power... the original concept was that if one branch (executive... Trump) broke the law, failed to abide by Supreme Court rulings (another branch) then Congress would rein him in, by impeaching & removing from office if need be. But he has shown the flaws: stacking the courts, weaponizing the justice department and turning the Republican party members in Congress into a group of cowering sycophants.

Wait until the Thai goverment puts you, an alien of questionable legality, on an abandoned oil rig, actually only 100 miles from land, in nice tropical sunshine (no shades allowed), easy to swim back.

They have experience of piling up crims like you 80 to a truck.

I understand plain English just fine.  I also know there's a reason that law libraries are chock full of books of case law that makes a layman's reading of the text of the constitution inadequate to understand the laws.

 

Are you familiar with the extra powers afforded to CBP within 100 miles of the US border (including shorelines)?  I became familiar back in the '80s when I worked in South Texas.  Long before Trump.  You can also get a feel for their extra powers when you land at an international airport and insist they need some kind of reasonable suspicion that you've done something wrong to detain you, search your stuff and even confiscate your money (under civil forfeiture).  Bad news...  They don't.  And that precedes Trump by decades, too.  

 

As I said.  They're getting the due process they're entitled to.  Just because the lefties (and even I) think they deserve more doesn't make it so.

SHow us the link to where you see the ICE going into a court room and dragging someone out? 

All i have read and seen are ICE waiting outside the courtrooms or courthouse. for those they have warrants to arrest. The ICE need to go into the courtrooms if the judges continue to sneak them out back doors reserved only for courtroom personnel to bypass the ICE waiting them.. A warrant to arrest is supposed to be legal and they are able to arrest them anywhere they can catch them. Courtroom or shopping mall or even school or their homes.  

This OP does not say anything about closing Alligator Alcatraz, the judge simple stopped them from making it bigger. They are still operating the holding site and using it for immigrant who entered the US illegally.
