that doesn't appear likely.

Of course it's not likely now, there was an agreement on the table almost signed, but Borris Johnson 'persuaded’ Zelinsky to fight for 'democracy'

'the rules based order',

we got your back,

stick it to Putin (Hitler)

you can win bla bla bla...yeah right !

As Putin is 'winning' it is he who will dictate the terms and the terms will get  worse  for Ukraine the longer they resist...thats just the way it is.

NATO has been providing (almost) everything to Ukraine in it's proxy war against Russia..you do know its a proxy war right ?

Stated aim, to deminish Russian influence in the region, regime change, breakup of Russia while using Ukrainians as cannon fodder instead of NATO troops.

Pure russian propaganda again. NATO is NOT involved (yet).

Instead, North Korea is clearly involved with troops (boots on the ground fighting for russia.

And the BS about proxy war is again putin-speach, comrade johng.

Comrade Genrikh. You should know better than that. I even posted a 1939 map of Poland's borders in one of your topics. Seems you can't even read a simple map, or are there some memory neurons missing?

To answer RayC; Königsberg was part of what was then Eastern Prussia, later Germany. It was never part of Poland unlike North-West Ukraine.

It was occupied together with the Baltic Republics by the advancing Red Army in 1945. Needles to say, it was never returned to an independent state, as it is now Russian only ice free port in the Baltic Sea.

Poland doesn't have any expansionistic aspirations. Throughout the history it was always the conquered, rather than the conqueror.

What comrade Genrikh should suggest instead, was to return Texas and California together with the other 8 US states that were part of Mexico until 1836.

I bet Mexicans would love that.

The so called deal was completely unacceptable. It gave Russia veto rights on any actions regarding security guarantees about resisting Russian aggression. It was even worse than the Budapest memorandum.

You can once inform yourself what a "proxy-war" is. I don't discuss at such a deep level of education comrade johng.

Justification for Russia's "Special Military Operation (SMO)" in Ukraine. Televised speech by Putin, 22 February (translation)

" (The SMO's) goal is to protect people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years. And for this we will strive for the demilitarisation and denazification of Ukraine, as well as bringing to justice those who committed numerous, bloody crimes against civilians, including citizens of the Russian Federation.”

I am not saying that Putin's speech has any validity or veracity, but - if 3 years of fighting hasn't achieved them to date - is there any reason why those goals could be discussed at the negotiating table?

Not more than your suggestion. But Septics know SFA about European history so it's not unexpected.

And, BTW, EU is not a country, neither is NATO...

But you will all do what we say and you will kiss our butts while doing so. Now go cut a deal.

In your dreams товарищ.

There is no deal to be made. Russia has to get out of Ukraine, return all the POW and abducted children, and pay for the restoration of the country.

That's the quickest way to end the war. Of course, your war mongering POTUS doesn't like that. Bad for US arms industry... And we all know that US is the largest arms dealer on the planet.

Putin is using every delay tactic he can because he wants Ukraine-Period. The Europeans better get their act together and increase their military before it's too late and Putin comes knocking at their door.  Now is the time for "ACTION" and NO "BS talking" to secure borders with military power since that is all Putin recognizes.

Putin takes Europe.

Ukrainian leaflet Dropped over Russian positions today

"Occupier, you do not understand and will not understand why we do not want to be part of your country. We don't want a dictator like you do, and at whose will you will soon become manure for our black soil. Perhaps you will become a beautiful sunflower. Or an ear of wheat grown on Ukrainian land.

Freedom and Independence, human life are the main values. But you don't understand that either. I am sorry that you came to my home with the purpose of killing me and taking what is rightfully mine. Not yours. But I will kill you without regret, because I am defending my Independence, my relatives, and my country.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY OF UKRAINE!"

Ukrainians don’t want to be slaves of Russia.

Poles don't either.

Sure they don't. But Ukrainians weren't smart enough to make a good choices about their politics so sh%^t hit the fan. You know, it's same like in mental hospital - can you imagine what a mess it might be if inmates were left without any control ?

Poles don't feel threatened by Russia. Moreover since more and more polish people here are aware what's going on in this conflict we feel more threatened by Ukraine and their people here. Mr president Putin is not a threat for us.

And as always - you totally miss the point and showing your ignorance about Ukraine and it's history. I was talking about this black sign on the picture. I strongly recommend you to at least check google pictures typing "zbrodnia wołyńska".
