Hi All

am simply after a bit of advice

I married my wife recently in the UK, she came to the UK on a Fiance Visa, our intention is to stay in the UK and she is seeking employment, we are in a position to request a Further Leave to Remain, we appear to have all the documentation in order, and at the moment believe that this should be relatively trouble free

What form does the Further Leave to Remain take once it has been granted, as I understand it this is required prior to my Wife being allowed to work in the UK, does that mean my wife is required to show documentation to a potential UK employer to state that she is eligible to work, if so can anyone tell me with what that is

Your wife should apply for FLR now that she is married. Once this is granted it will be indicated in her passport that she is settled in the UK. Before she works she will need a NI number which she can get once settled.

The Job Centre will say that she should get a job offer then she can apply for a NI number but in some instances she can apply for a NI number before the job. Which ever way it is she will need a NI number to be employed. It is the NI number that the future employer will need to know.

The correct form for such an application is FLR(M).

On the assumption that your wife gets her two-year extension, the Borders and Immigration Agency endorsement in her passport is evidence enough that she can take employment. If any employer disputes that the residence permit confers employment rights, you may direct them to the Employing Migrant Workers website.
