BBC World - Better Signal

I'd been suffering a bad signal on the Intelsat 8 transponder 3940H that carries BBC World, for 6 months or more, but yesterday it returned to normal.

I'm wondering if this could have been due to something at my end, or has anyone else noticed it?

The effect during the bad 6 months was cyclic periods of bad pixellation and sometimes a short total loss of lock. Worse during the day than at night.

The odd thing is that the other transponders on Intelsat 8, e.g. Australia Network (3829H) , and Knowledge Channel (3880V) continued to come in throughout the bad 6 months without any problem.

I only have a 6ft dish for Intelsat 8 so probably not a lot of margin, but what could cause only one transponder to be affected? That's what I'm puzzled about!
