October 3, 2025Oct 3 So Trump's tariffs are causing a massive amount of damage to the US agricultural sector, so much so that the farmers themselves have branded it "farmageddon". Previously, China imported more than 50% of soy beans grown. This year it's 0 - zero. And that's just one of many products being affected. Personnally, my reaction is "som nam naa" as most farmers voted for the moron in the WH. Don't think it's gonna change how they vote in the midterms but it might change if they vote or not. Hopefully, many of them would rather stay home. ‘Farmageddon’: Many US farmers are warning they are at a breaking point https://edition.cnn.com/2025/09/16/us/video/farmers-arkansas-bankruptcy-trump-digvid Grok:
October 3, 2025Oct 3 Not to worry. Farm subsidies in the making. Trump doesen't want to lose those votes. Besides: The Oglala Aquifier has been pumped down to 1/3rd of it's original size. Once pumped dry, the US will (forcebly) have to fall back as a major Agri export nation. But that is something that is on nobodys radar.
