The cost and bureaucracy involved in obtaining a visa puts off many potential employees from applying for jobs and many employers from looking for candidates. The ease in which labour can move freely within the EU is a great benefit for both employee and employer.

 

What is your objection to allowing freedom of movement for EU nationals? It's an old chestnut to suggest - as some do, not necessarily you - that the UK was flooded with East Europeans looking to sponge off of the UK state.
