Tories Unveil Bold Plan to Expel 750,000 Migrants

The Conservatives have announced a controversial scheme to expel 750,000 illegal immigrants over five years if they clinch the next election. At their annual conference in Manchester, the party laid out plans to bar those entering the UK without permission from claiming asylum, while streamlining appeal processes to be handled by Home Office officials rather than courts. This move is aimed at bolstering their standing as current poll ratings under leader Kemi Badenoch suffer amid competition from Nigel Farage's Reform UK.

This plan includes a significant restructuring of immigration enforcement. The Home Office's unit will be rebranded as the "Removals Force," gaining enhanced powers with a doubled budget of £1.6 billion per year (approximately 72.5 billion Thai baht). The Tories propose to remove individuals "within hours or at most a few days," responding to concerns about the current system's efficiency. Furthermore, they plan to exit the European Convention on Human Rights to curb asylum appeals, marking a pivotal shift in policy.

Experts are divided on this radical approach. Supporters argue it addresses long-standing issues of illegal immigration and national security, while critics warn of potential human rights violations and legal challenges. The aim to remove at least 150,000 annually until reaching 750,000 is an ambitious target, considering last year's 35,000 removals, mostly voluntary, which highlights the scale of effort required for this drastic increase.

Looking ahead, the proposal will likely dominate discussions at the four-day party conference and across the political landscape. While the plan promises to close asylum hotels, ostensibly freeing up £820 million (about 37 billion Thai baht) yearly in funds, it remains to be seen how these aggressive policies will unfold and influence the upcoming election. The political implications of this hard-line stance on immigration could shape the party's future and its public support.

Key Takeaways:

  • Tories propose removing 750,000 illegal immigrants in five years.
  • Plan includes banning asylum claims and rebranding enforcement as "Removals Force."
  • Move could reshape UK immigration policy and impact upcoming elections.

Illegal plan. They seem to be very desperate, even to overtake Farage in more illegal plans.

15 year of nothing. Now they think they can solve the problem.

Will this develop like in Germany, where a single deportation will cost the taxpayer 100k euros, then some judge cancels it at the last minute? The judgeocracy is the problem, as not only the Trumpsters should realize.

You mean that their plans are illegal.

So the Tories are trying to overtake Reform on the right. Won't work, this never works.

Who do you think makes the laws?  Which world power does the government in the UK answer to?

Face it, the Overton window has shifted on this.  Multiculturalism is an absolute disaster of a policy.  These next 4 years of incompetent, weak government will be the last time illegal immigrants will be welcomed into the UK at the expense of the UK taxpayer and maybe, just maybe, the era of mass deportations will begin to get the UK back on track as a serious country that puts its own citizens before non citizens.

The Conservatives will do nothing, as with Labour. It’s just all twaddle to get in. The navy should just be allowed to do its job.

And this is the only reason why they are saying they will do it. Both they and Labour were never interested before. In fact labour went in totally the opposite direction and allowed virtual unlimited immigration. Now it's looking like they will all be out of power for a while, they start making promises again.

What with Starmer is trying to push his ID scheme. What is the UK coming to?

Using the excuse of controlling illegal immigration by preventing illegals working. But it will also be for children. The State will have eyes on everything you do from birth to death.

Tony Blair has wanted this for years. That alone is a dire warning. I hope that for doing this alone, Labour are pushed into the political wilderness and never elected again.

Amazingly easy to have all sorts of plans, ideas, policies......when you are not actually faced with having to implement them.

It is an unavoidable truth that Farage has effectively driven this issue........the saving grace is if Labour can do anything effective it kills the one trick pony...UKReform

The good thing is, the majority will not favour your "view"🎉) because they will use their brain.

That appears to be what is happening now in the UK.

100k???

Do you have a link?

Or is it just Gibberish ???

Whatever they do, and whoever does it, they better hurry.

Between immigration and birth rate, the Muslim population of the UK is catching up to the infidels, and they'll have a voting majority soon.

How are the numbers working out recently on the "one-in, one-out" plan?

Under the assumptions of zero immigration and average UK birth rates, the Muslim population would never statistically reach 50% of the UK population—even over multiple centuries.

So it is the Muslim population that needs to get a move on before immigration channels are closed and they revert to having average sized families.

I've got my fingers crossed for the UK.

But faith?  When even Farage has said that mass deportations are impossible?    If mass deportations are impossible, they system will never allow stopping the boats.

We're all doomed.

What I still can't understand, is why these people would travel all the way through such better countries in Europe, to make a desperate attempt to get to Europe's dingiest, poorest, rundown, dumbest, country. "Ere we go, ere we go, ere we go." "Oi mate, just signed on! let's go down the pub and see some slappers! You got a spare fag - any biscuits?" "Coo! Me shell suit is freezin in this rain!!"

Yeah, of course, who wouldn't want to live there with all of that?

You  blame the Tories for the result of the general public refusing to support that process. How many times were deportation flights blocked when busybody social dictators disrupted the flight to prevent its departure? Who blocked the past Conservative effort to deport people via Rwanda?  The UK has a migrant problem today because much of the population created it. The unions, the religious groups, the self appointed human rights campaigners, Labour and others all  blocked corrective action. Who sends out the boats to encourage, facilitate and assist migrants from North Africa? There are literally dozens of tax deductible charity financed  groups doing this.

Do your math again. One of the critical issues is that a large part of the  Pakistani/Bengali population is inbred. According to a 2021 study, about 55% of British Pakistanis are married to first cousins,         https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c4g38l07895o

This results in a massive financial burden to the small number of taxpayers who are forced to pay the  medical and social costs of the genetically deficient offspring of such relationships.  The reduced intelligence levels also allow for a perpetual pool of easily influenced people who can do the bidding of  their community's extremists. The UK is being consumed by a population of quasi zombies who monopolize public services because of their ever growing and expanding demands upon those social services.

Are there 750000 illegal migrants in the UK?

Too late Tories. You failed the British people. Hopefully Reform drive you into the ground and you no longer compete at the next General Election.

A straight fight between Reform and Labour.  It will be a political massacre that I suspect Starmer will be too cowardly to face.

Totally irrelevant

Very relevant. The point is that the ever expanding population of mental deficients and people with expensive demands  that monopolize the social services and benefits of a society, imperil and harm the  decreasing number of people who pay for those services and benefits. In effect it is a parasitical relationship that eventually drives off or kills the host. It is like the cuckoo bird.

Using wrong assumptions.

What is the average birth rate compared to the birth rate of the Muslim community.

From what I can see the Muslim families usually have a much greater number of children. So it's likely their population will increase disproportionately over time.

Seem to recall an non English speaking UK Muslim politician saying that they will out breed you over time. He seemed quite happy in predicting a Muslim majority in the UK in the future.

So we are going to deport 750k immigrants without knowing what the demand for labour will be at the time? Doesn't sound like the greatest bit of economic planning.

If only someone could come up with an idea which helped the labour market find its' equilibrium. I don't know if it would work but, say, something like allowing the nationals of - I'll pluck a number out of thin air - 27 of our closest European neighbours to freely come and work in the UK. Worth a try, perhaps?

Betters as it is now .

Get people to apply for work visas before they arrive .

Grant them visas if jobs are available
