China does not lose its market, but US farmers do. And the customers that used to buy those Brazilian soybeans? Where will they buy their soybeans now?

Those pictures of people being shackled and taken away in buses won't go away for some time. What's wrong with sending the message that we don't want to subsidize (or even allow) facilities whose business plan includes hiring illegals?

Are you stoned?you are lucid enough to understand those Koreans were training Americans on the ins and outs of mfd.high tech batteries and such for cars that were going to be built here in the states….that was indeed a black eye to America by the treatment those people received.sad

October 15, 2025Oct 15 Popular Post Why is it OK for countries like China, Thailand, Vietnam, etc to have sky high import tariffs and it is not ok for the US to do likewise? For all the talk of tariff doom and gloom in the US, why is it that the countries with high tariffs haven't tanked their economies? Why is it that tariffs seem to only be a problem when the US imposes them?

Why is it that tariffs seem to only be a problem when the US imposes them? Trump's liberation day tariffs that he imposed was his perceived misguided beliefs that US suffered unfair trade deficit and not about tariffs. China in general impose an average of 10% duties on imported US products. Now it is 125% as a reciprocal retaliation against Trump. Countries that have high tariffs are generally only on certain goods; not across the board and generally in the 15-20% bracket. Not those ridiculous illogical super high tariffs by Trump.
October 15, 2025Oct 15 America is slowly forcing BRICS to work closer together. They are trading amongst each other. Brazil is now supplying the soya beans that were once the domain of America. America has threatened to impose higher tariffs on BRICS countries that decide to use anything but the dollar for global trade. This threat might work for now as I don't see a determination to stop using the dollar, but a threat means the group will have to find a way to trade in their own countries in order to hedge their trade. China's return threat is to disturb its trade with America. As most of the world's rare earths are either in China or in countries where they have influence, an America without access to rare earths will have to reconsider its trade policy,

Funny that, when this administration weed out hundreds of thousands of (not only illegal) workers in America and deport them, who is going to fill up the jobs at the numerous of plants and facilities they think foreign countries will invest in (which they won't btw)? Americans in general want the creme a la creme jobs which pays well, and these ain't it. His plan is quite genius, isn't it.

So your okay with funding someone driven to achieve Regional Dominance in SE Asia and Dominance in countries that are seen as the biggest threats? Better a knife when AI and Robotics start to mature I would rather be ahead then behind. Keep sleeping and doing nothing while China is full speed ahead, get out of my way, failure is not an option in on Dominance. You can't catch up in AI without HUGE investments in development, having the best and brightest minds and resources to support it.
