October 17, 2025Oct 17 I usually use Mitsubishi AC units but these caught my eye. Both use copper coils, have high SEER rating over 23 and wifi controls, and the size i need is only 13,500bt. A Mitsubishi with the similar spec, but no wifi is around 15,500bt https://shopee.co.th/แอร์-Mitsubishi-Heavy-Duty-รุ่น-HARU-ใหม่ล่าสุด!!!!-YYM-รังผึ้งทองแดง-ประหยัดไฟเบอร์-5แบบมีดาว-ถอดถาดน้ำได้-i.120361613.21495001569?xptdk=b4f97170-ee9e-4a3f-b19d-4b6badd9591e https://shopee.co.th/Midea-แอร์ติดผนัง-Inverter-เครื่องปรับอากาศติดผนัง-ขนาด-8800-24000-BTU-รุ่น-mPro-EASY-i.76526105.5590411449?sp_atk=68c92f6a-0b95-4d29-a85c-2ab7af95ac3b&xptdk=68c92f6a-0b95-4d29-a85c-2ab7af95ac3b https://shopee.co.th/(**ใหม่ล่าสุดปี2026!!)แอร์-TCL-รุ่น-VoxIN-ระบบอินเวอร์เตอร์-มี-Wifi-สั่งงานภาษาไทย-ประหยัดสูงสุดไฟ-5-มีดาว-รังผึ้งทองแดง-i.120361613.24717155283 I am leaning toward the Midea as it is one of the biggest manufacturers in the world and i have read that TCL after care is not so good. Any opinions?
October 17, 2025Oct 17 We have all Hitachi aircon. Our initial Samsung unit worked well but sprang a leak after about 7 years, out of warranty, not repairable. It's replacement Sharp inverter unit was useless, despite us having good results with Sharp TVs. Finally replaced by a Hitachi inverter (gave the Sharp to family). Good results from that unit and the two non-inverter Hitachi units in the spare bedrooms prompted us to go Hitachi inverter for our large A/C spaces. I would not buy another TCL unit, we had bad no support for two TCL TVs, both failed under warranty but no spares available!! Even our local fix-it man couldn't make one from two. Dead loss. Of course, as with all these things YMMV "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
October 17, 2025Oct 17 Author I have read many Thai reviews that prefer the Mistsubisi Electric (Mr Slim with aluminium coils) over the Mitsubishi Heavy Duty with copper coils. All claim tha the Mitsubishi Heavy Duty is louder. 13 minutes ago, Crossy said: I would not buy another TCL unit, we had bad no support for two TCL TVs, both failed under warranty but no spares available!! We have a TCL TV still working fine after 4+ years.

October 18, 2025Oct 18 The guy was here yesterday servicing and trying to repair one of my Samsung inverter units. Shorted out by a lizard. He claims Mitsu are the best, and recommends going with a non inverter unit. Especially if not used regularly, as is the case here. Says they last much longer in that scenario. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
