A 13-year-old girl died after jumping from the 17th floor of a condominium in the Asoke-Din Daeng area of Bangkok. The tragedy occurred shortly after the girl returned home from her stepmother’s house, reportedly following a brief disagreement with her mother over her future. The incident has left the mother devastated, as she witnessed her daughter’s fatal fall.

Police from Din Daeng Station were alerted to the incident around midnight. Pol Lt Col Chanchai Kammahom, deputy investigation officer, said he coordinated with forensic experts, a Ramathibodi Hospital medical examiner, and Ruamkatanyu Foundation volunteers to inspect the scene. The girl, identified only as “A”, was found dead in the condominium’s rear car park. She was wearing a white-and-black shirt and a black skirt, with severe head injuries and broken limbs. Initial findings confirmed she jumped from the 17th floor of the 33-storey building.

Her mother, referred to as “B”, aged 45, tearfully told police that she and her daughter lived alone after separating from her husband. The girl was a student at a local secondary school but had recently taken a break from classes. On 10 October, she had left home saying she was going to visit her stepmother in Khlong 6, Pathum Thani. On 12 October, she briefly contacted her mother to ask for money to top up her phone, then went silent again.

At around 21:00 on the night of the incident , the girl called her mother to ask for transport home. Shortly afterwards, a good Samaritan telephoned the mother, explaining that the girl appeared lost and offered to drive her back to their condominium. They arrived at about 21:40, where the mother brought her daughter upstairs and tried to discuss her disappearance.

Later, while comforting her, the girl reportedly walked toward the balcony area near the washing machine, opened the back door and suddenly leapt to her death. Emergency responders confirmed her death at the scene. Her body was transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine at Ramathibodi Hospital for a detailed autopsy. Police are continuing to investigate the exact circumstances leading to the tragedy and have urged the public to be mindful of children’s emotional wellbeing.

Barely a teen.

So sad kids have to grow up so quick these days.

The article says family dispute, maybe poor parenting but I'd say boyfriend pressures, teen pregnancies etc.

She must have had a lot going on to do what she did 😔

Glad I'm not a kid growing up in this world.

Why would you say that when nothing of the sort was even hinted at?
