A 20-year-old bar worker in Pattaya was seriously injured after jumping from a fourth-floor window following an argument with her boyfriend. The incident took place on South Pattaya Road on 14 October. Rescue teams rushed to the scene to provide emergency assistance before transporting the woman to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital.

Rescue volunteers from the Sawang Boriboon Foundation found the woman lying on the first-floor area outside the building, barely conscious. She had sustained serious injuries, including broken legs and a fractured right arm, along with head and foot lacerations. Paramedics stabilised her at the scene before she was taken to hospital for further treatment.

Her 20-year-old boyfriend told police that they had been living together for some time. He said the woman worked at a bar on Walking Street and had been struggling with depression. According to his statement, she had previously attempted suicide on several occasions, but he had always managed to intervene in time.

He explained that the couple had argued shortly before the incident, after which the woman ran to the window and jumped before he could stop her. Police are continuing to investigate the incident while the woman remains under medical supervision.

Doubt the 30 baht scheme works there, I suspect stabilized and moved to Banglamung.

No it doesn't. There's hundreds of thousands of bargirls and this is a rare story

This is a situation where she might have benefitted from having an older boyfriend.

Sadly, it was too complex for her 20 year old boyfriend to deal with in helping her properly.

In fact, he may have exacerbated the situation, not intentionally.

am surprised she was able to have a thai Bf the same age who did not care about her work which most likely involved some short time work with foreigners in their rooms. but then perhaps she was supporting him as well so he did not ask where the thousands came from daily. Sad she had the depression but working in a bar takes a certain kind of woman. She should have taken work elsewhere like in a 7 or at a store or in the mall then perhaps depression would not have set in

She had mental problems. Bargirl suicides is not all that common. I don't even remember the last time hearing of one. And when they happen, it is usually a love triangle gone awry

You need to have finished high school to get a job at 7-11.

Most bargirls have not finished high school.

With her suicidal tendancies I think a ground floor room would be more suitable.

Gold card if it's an emergency.

Maybe Bang Lamung Hospital is struggling at the moment, usually that's the goto place for emergencies

Maybe the boyfriend asked for transportation to a decent hospital, and covers the bill

These injuries will stay with her for the rest of her life....And she will Completely forget about her her current boy friend...

Oh I doubt that at the BHP.....may stabilize a local, and then they get shipped off to Banglamung for the 35 baht treatment.

Tragic.

I can only imagine what she has been through in life to lead her to work in a Pattaya bar and try to take her life at age 20.

She was probably working there to support her entire family, but at such a young age, her parents wouldn't likely be pension age, right?

I often wonder about this when young bar women say they have to support their parents, but then they say their parents are like 40

That helping the parents thing was several generations ago. The modern day bar girls want the best of everything so there's nothing left for mum and dad. Many of them don't even visit their parents several times a year like the used too. My wife has 2 daughters in their 40's when they found out that that farang daddy was no easy snip they spat the dummy. We used to have big partys on a regular basis at my house, of course I footed the bill. Now they haven't spoken to either of us for 3 years.

Not only they droped out of school early, but already have kids and got pregnant too early (many clearly bear the marks on their flesh because of that). Not a fairy tale for sure.
