A horrific road crash in Ratchaburi province claimed the lives of four family members, when a speeding pickup truck collided head-on with their motorcycle. The victims, a father, mother and two young daughters, all died at the scene. Police believe the truck driver attempted to overtake another vehicle and fled immediately after the crash.

The fatal collision occurred at around 19.10 on October 20, 2025, on Don Kha–Don Yai Road in Moo 3, Don Kha subdistrict, Bang Phae district. Police investigators and rescue workers from Sawang Ratchaburi Foundation found a Toyota pickup truck with severe front-end damage in the opposite lane. The body of a man was found trapped against the windshield and a three-year-old girl was discovered dead in the truck’s rear cargo bed.

Nearby, two more female victims were found, bringing the total death toll to four. Authorities identified the deceased as members of the same Laotian migrant family. Their Honda Wave motorcycle, registered in Nakhon Pathom, was damaged, with debris scattered across the road. The section was closed temporarily, causing long traffic delays while rescue teams cleared the wreckage.

Police suspect the pickup was travelling at high speed when the driver tried to overtake another vehicle but misjudged the distance, colliding head-on with the family’s motorcycle as they returned from a local market. Investigators are now hunting for the runaway driver, who abandoned the vehicle and fled before officers arrived.

Residents told reporters that the Don Kha–Don Yai route is a narrow two-lane road with dense roadside vegetation, forcing motorcyclists to ride close to the centre to avoid hazards. They said crashes occur frequently due to poor visibility and speeding. Locals have called on authorities to improve safety measures and trim roadside trees to prevent further tragedies.

Police from Pho Hak station are reviewing nearby CCTV footage to track down the suspect and confirm the cause of the collision. The victims’ bodies were taken for post-mortem examination before being released to relatives for funeral rites.
