The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), through the Economic Crime Suppression Division, conducted coordinated raids on seven sites across Lopburi, Nonthaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Pathum Thani and Bangkok. The operation targeted a network producing and distributing counterfeit consumer goods, including branded soy sauce and coffee, in violation of laws against trademark infringement, producing counterfeit food and mislabelling. Investigators seized both production sites and retail outlets linked to the operation.

The investigation began after authorities apprehended individuals selling counterfeit soy sauce and other fake products in northeastern Thailand. Tracing the supply chain led to wholesale outlets in Lopburi, prompting warrants to uncover production facilities and storage warehouses. During the raids, officials confiscated over 122,333 items, including counterfeit soy sauce, coffee, monosodium glutamate and raw materials such as caramel flavouring, acetic acid, salt and MSG. Equipment used in production included mixing tanks, mixers, empty bottles sourced from second-hand stores and hundreds of thousands of counterfeit labels.

The network operated in unhygienic conditions without quality controls, posing potential health risks to consumers. Products were distributed nationwide, making the operation a significant threat to public safety and commerce. Authorities collected all evidence and materials to pursue further investigations and identify all parties involved for legal action.

The raids were conducted under the direction of Police Lieutenant General Nattasak Chawanasai, Commissioner of the CIB; Police Major General Thatphum Charuprat, Commander of the Economic Crime Suppression Division; and Police Lieutenant Colonel Phuwadet Julakasevi, head of Division 1, with operational support from Police Lieutenant Colonel Nattawut Pomngern and officers from Division 1 of the Economic Crime Suppression Division.
