Vlad told Russians that America has doubled the amount of dollars several times during recent years. You can't expect that the crazy printing machine can do it forever without any consequences.

Yes, the dollar is weakening, but the Thai baht seems to appreciate more than other currencies...

It always appreciates during the high tourist season due to millions of tourists wanting to buy the Baht.

Yes it is,

winter in the northern  countries  but still hot and humid in Thailand as it is all year round (being close to the equator)

...variable being the coldness in other countries, tourists flee for winter sun and must purchase Baht

to spend in sunny Thailand.

Very simple but why. Thailand produces minimal amount of gold so must first import it before selling.

The BOT says the same thing but they are said two months ago that they were going to weaken the Baht but it has risen since then. I am still wondering why and who benefits. Obviously the importers of anything, but do they have that much influence.

I think it has to do more with currency debasement than Thailand itself. 

USD / THB ... one year, down 7.19%  ... H / L  34.88 / 31.69

 

Since Trump inauguration, 6.24%  ...  H / L  8 Apr / 12 Sept
