Leather you could apply some Mink Oil or equiv. Plastic the green polish liquid sold at Mr. DIY. Of course if it is all cracked then a new cover is in order. Most upholstery stores can do that. Google maps is your friend.

December 7, 2025Dec 7 any big bike dealer repair shop will know how to direct you, there was a place on sukumvit between pattaya tai & pattaya klang towards the sea, or you can just hand over the seat to the big bike dealer

So, you never worry about sitting on a wet seat? The fabrics used on motorbike seats are water resistant and will shed water. A fabric coating retains the water.

Besides it's an E-MC to begin with, not that I haven't been caught in the rain a few times. Covers pop off easily if needed, to dry or be washed & dried, though can't remember if they ever needed to be. Surely the wife did, and I just didn't notice. I don't think the OP is driving cross country on his scooter in rainy season. IF I needed it for a daily commute, then I'd stick with something more water resistant, though nothing a plastic bag wouldn't solve, if riding in the rain was necessary.

Yes its a constant worry if the top water proof cover of the seat is compromised water seeps into the foam underneath and will result in a wet bum for a long time after the rain stops ..that's why its important to have a non split, cracked, ripped or cat scratched cover.
