Suvarnabhumi Airport has launched a year-end festive initiative to welcome Christmas 2025 and the New Year 2026, transforming key areas of its passenger terminals into elaborate photo destinations. The decorations aim to create a warm and memorable experience for travellers passing through Thailand’s main international gateway during the busy holiday period.

The airport’s management announced that the decorations are being carried out under the theme “Glamour XMas in Warm Red,” designed to convey happiness, warmth and seasonal cheer. The initiative reflects Suvarnabhumi Airport’s efforts to enhance the atmosphere for both Thai and international passengers at the end of the year, when travel volumes traditionally increase.

As part of the programme, Suvarnabhumi Airport has created four dedicated photo areas within the terminal and concourse buildings. These locations have been carefully selected to ensure passengers can enjoy festive settings at different stages of their journey, from departure and transit to arrival.

The first location is in the international departures hall on Level 4, where Christmas archways in red and gold tones have been installed near entrances and exits 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10. These areas are designed to serve as prominent visual highlights for departing passengers and visitors entering the terminal.

The second location is in Concourse D on Level 4, where a Christmas Market-themed backdrop has been set up. This photo spot is available on both the east and west sides of the concourse, allowing passengers waiting to board their flights to capture festive moments while spending time in the gate areas.

The third major area is located in the international arrivals hall on Level 2, near baggage carousels 11 and 12. This zone has been decorated as a Santa Claus village, or Winter Village, with the intention of offering arriving passengers a warm and welcoming impression from the moment they step into Thailand.

Suvarnabhumi Airport confirmed that all festive photo spots are open to passengers and visitors from 12 December 2025 until 5 January 2026. Travellers are invited to explore the areas freely and record their holiday memories throughout the decoration period.

Naewna reported that airport officials reiterated their commitment to continuously improving service standards under the concept of World Class Hospitality. They said the festive decorations are part of broader efforts to deliver a pleasant and impressive travel experience, while reinforcing Suvarnabhumi Airport’s image as the gateway to Thailand.

Like many Asian countries, they put more into it than we do in our own countries. Shameful, really.

Maybe that's why so many Christians come here for Christmas?

They can relax without barriers around Christmas markets, people hassling pedestrians to take versions of the Quran at market entrances, and the ever-present threat of carnage BY TRUCKS AND VEHICLES or bombings where native people gather to celebrate Christmas.

Fantastic! Tourists can just take some snaps and get back on the plane! They've been to Thailand, now go home!
