Apps I use with Windows that I would require for Linux.

Featured Replies

I've tried various Linux distros many times and do like Linux but I always have to revert back to Win 11 because I do daily work on my laptop, mostly with image and music files, and because I have all the apps I need installed on Win, it's just easier for me to stay with Win. However, if I could find Linux apps that did the same job then I could totally switch over.

These are the main apps I currently use with Win 11. Are there Linux apps that do the same job?

Ted Notepad (this app can handle huge lists, has case, lines & sort edit features I need)
PhotoFiltre (my favorite easy image editor, I use it to make album covers artwork and text)
Picasa3 (another excellent image editor I use daily to enhance photos)
Filelist Creator (I'm constantly making up file lists of music tracks)
Format Factory (mainly to easily convert various image files to jpg)
Ken Rename (to rename folder and various types of files)
Tagscan (to edit tags in music files)
dBpoweramp batch convertor (mainly to convert flac to MP3 at various bitrates)
Resize Pictures (a Win context menu, back click on images and can chose a preset resize)

Why not just write the code, and create your own Windows-alternative apps, the way you like it, for Linux?

Anything stopping you from writing your own code...AS YOU LIKE IT, for Linux?

But, just in case you might not know how.....

GUESS WHAT?

Gemini will, very easily, and quickly, be able to reverse-engineer any Windows-Garbage-App, the way YOU like it....

Maybe, by about 2028, June.

And then: What will be your excuse for not using Linux?
