King donates over Bt70 million fund for Buddhism propagation

BANGKOK: -- His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej has donated a fund, worth over Bt70 million, for the propagation of the Buddhism in Thailand.

The Government Savings Bank (GSB) recently presented the Bt72 million fund for His Majesty the King to be used with his discretion.

The beloved Thai monarch yesterday donated all the money for the setting up of the fund, aimed at supporting the propagation of Buddhism in the kingdom, according to media reports.

The Bureau of National Buddhism, through the Sangha Supreme Council Office, are authorized to take care of and manage the fund to be in accordance with His Majesty the King's purpose.

mmm, anybody know how much money the order has ? must be a lot like all religions

We have a saying in Ireland, “To be born a gentleman is an accident, to die a gentleman is an achievement!”

His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej became King at the age of 18, he is now 72… His subjects love him! He is a positive influence on his country.

My money is on “he will die a gentleman”

Have a Happy…
