A Thai friend is thinking of buying a condo and she has ben told that a certain place is offering a deal where you pay a deposit and then more than the normal monthly rental and after 15 or 20 years (depending on monthly payments) the condo will belong to her.

I know these options used to be available in BKK but I haven't heard of them recently, do they still exist and if so are they a viable option or are there some traps?
