Ukraine Denies Russia’s Claim of Drone Attack on Putin Residence

Ukraine has strongly refuted Russian allegations of a drone assault on President Vladimir Putin's residence. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky labelled the accusations as fabrications by Moscow intended to disrupt ongoing peace talks. Sergei Lavrov, Russia's Foreign Minister, asserted that Kyiv launched 91 drones at the residence, but Russian defence systems intercepted them all.

The alleged attack is believed to have occurred overnight in the Novgorod region of Russia. Despite the claims, there were no reported casualties or damage. Russia has suggested it may revisit its stance in peace negotiations, although it remains uncertain where Putin was during the alleged incident.

Zelensky dismissed Russia's accusations, urging the international community to remain vocal against what he asserted are Russia's attempts to sabotage peace efforts. Previously, Russia had been accused of targeting key Ukrainian government locations.

In related developments, talks between the US and Ukraine in Florida discussed a new peace plan. The discussions, involving US President Donald Trump and Zelensky, covered issues like security guarantees for Ukraine and territorial disputes, especially concerning the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant and the contested Donbas region.

Following these discussions, a conversation between President Trump and Putin reportedly left the US president "shocked" and "angry" about the alleged drone attack. The White House confirmed that the alleged incident had been a topic during their positive call.

Key Takeaways:

  • Ukraine denies Russian claims of a drone attack on Putin's residence.
  • Russia alleges 91 drones targeted the residence, all intercepted.
  • US-Ukraine talks on peace plans continue amidst rising tensions.

Russia is not really interested in peace on others terms.

It wants total Ukrainian capitulation on Putins terms.   Unconditional surrender.

Helsinki 2018 says it all......

This is nothing more than a fabulously uncreative fairy tale that King Vlad has made up, in order to justify prolonging the war. Many of us knew he was unlikely to give up the genocide as he seems to have a particularly strong passion for slaughtering mothers and children. A pox on his family.

I would feel sorry for the Pox!

Leave them to it.

Not our problem. Zelensky is an ungrateful little scrote.

Zelensky?

Maybe stop criticising the countries that are saving his ass. Perhaps show some gratitude. And maybe stop dressing like Rambo, it's cringe.

Independent Russian investigative journalism outlet Mozhem obyschatyk examined the Kremlin’s accusations and reported that there was scant evidence to support them. The news service cited Russian defense ministry information that 41 drones had been fired rather than 91 and that they were aimed at the Bryansk region, not Novgorod.

The news service added on the Telegram platform that the defense ministry had reported the attack as taking place in the morning, not overnight on December 28-29 as claimed by the foreign ministry.

Journalists also quizzed local residents in Valdai and reported that none had received text messages warning of a drone attack in the area. Furthermore, none had heard the distinctive sound of drone engines or any explosions from the supposed air-defense response.

“There was no noise that night, no explosions, nothing,” one resident said. “If something like that had happened, the whole town would have been talking about it.”

Mozhem obyschatyk also pointed out that neither the ministry of defense nor Russian media had presented any direct evidence of an attack.

The CIA just confirmed that the alleged Ukrainian attack never happened. But Putin already called Trump, and of course Trump believed every word Putin said, and after that phone call Trump said he was furious at Zelensky.

See how easy it is for Putin to play Trump and his minions?

What are you trying to do? Your sources are obviously just bs. Pro Putin propaganda rubbish. There was never a drone attack on Putin, just lies, lies, lies, as usual, to derail the peace talks which Russia do not want.

Neighbors of Putin confirmed there was not one sound or evidence of any drones nearby (they would hear them being shot down), Russian war bloggers say the same (they have detected every drone activity so far), and all serious investigation concludes this "attack" never happened.

Get a grip!

Putin has zero credibility on the world stage so nothing he says can be trusted. Ever. He is a super freak genocidal despot and a war criminal. Why believe him?

'The CIA secretly taught Ukraine how to target crucial components of Russia’s oil refining infrastructure and its sanction-busting shadow fleet, according to officials.'

and

'The US has long shared intelligence with Kyiv that helps with attacks on Russian military targets in occupied parts of Ukraine and provides advanced warning of incoming Russian missiles and drones.'

I believe Russia and North Korea have a military alliance agreement..and why not.

Vietnam has long since finished but no doubt there was a lot of CIA skullduggery involved there too.
