Juicing Work?

Juicing...

Replace most of the meal with fruit juice..

Seem be more healthy...

Anyone tried before?

How does it feel like?

Does it really work?

I did a month's supervised juice fasting and colonics with all the suplements etc at a reputable spa here in Koh Samui... felt and looked fabulous during and immediately after. BUT huge immune system problem that wasn't immediately obvious led me to contract a very serious lung virus on a visa run into Burma shortly thereafter. 4 years and 9 bouts of pneumonia later I would not encourage juicing or stringent fasting to anyone - every doctor and specialist since has said that both the juicing and fasting led to immune system weakness. Fruit juicing alone can also lead to very high blood sugar levels and exacerbate any tendency to diabetes. Go for a great salad instead and loads of water.....

But it abit too late already, cause, i just complete a circle of my juicing..

heehee..

I lost about 3 kg instant at the day five. Cause this juicing program i used is for 5 day.

Now i slowly consumpt back the solid foot... might take few say for me to be back wit normal diet. But i don think i'll go back to the previous diet, i will change to more healthy, more fresh, more vege, less oil, less sugar, less salt, less carbohidrate.......

Life is just beautifullllllllllllllllllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have watched the commercials about juicing and listen to the raves, but just don't get it. By pulverizing anything, you don't change anything in the nutrition or undesirable dietary effects of what is pulverized or "juiced".

Every dietary expert I have spoken too agree that by reducing the bulk of a food from its natural state, you are markedly changing the speed with which the food is passed through the body and the ability of the body to absorb the food.

Likewise, hunger pangs are a major problem in dieting that is only magnified by juicing. Of course, there is also a digestive tract problem when you eliminate fiber from your diet.

I just don't get why taking a perfectly good food and juicing it does anything beneficial for you?

Actually as i concern is the juicing made of fresh friuts to replace meal for certain day.

Acctually this also will detox our body as well, therefore drink lot of water (plain water) is also needed to cleanse the toxic the generated when our body is burning our long stored fat.

I drink fresh multi-fruit smoothies regularly, but with food.

I excercise 3-4 times a week and am down to where my goal was.

Less junk food brought home from store now too.

Great job...

Actually i found that is not so difficult to practice juicing , i mean half juice... mean we still take regular meal with less quantity.

Just a simple practice which can bring suff8icient effect in mantaining better eating habit and life style.

I have done it many times with no negative effects and lost weight with virtually no hunger. I lost 26 kilos in a few months several years ago juice fasting for a few weeks then eating salads for a few weeks and then juicing again.

The theory is that the juices go straight into your body with no digestion needed and - supposedly- digesting food uses up a lot of nutients that could be used elsewhere.

As far as getting a lung virus from a "bad immune system" because of fasting, it would be VERY unlikely. Juice fasting provides your immune system with many more nutrients - other than protein - than you get normally, and if you drink some fresh wheatgrass juice once a day you should get the protein that you need as well. You can eat plenty of raw seeds , nuts and goat milk products when you are in the salad phase and get plenty of protein and vitamin B12.

Juicers would claim that Vital Girl ALREADY had a big problem that had not manifested yet and didn't fast and cleanse long enough to get rid of it from her body. When she started eating normally again, she just kept making herself sicker and sicker.

Thanks U...G: for the insight. Got me to thinking about I.V.s. Juicing may well be a home method of introducing nutrient fortified liquid into the body just as certain I.V.s do.

I lost much weight in the hospital while on an I.V. and ate everything and anything I wanted, including KFC. Too bad we can't hook ourselves to nutrient bags that nurture us through the blood veins when we want to lose weight!.

During the war with the U.S., the Vietnamese injected coconut water into the veins of wounded soldiers who needed blood when they couldn't get the real thing and it worked quite well, saving many lives.

really? wo...

bUt coconut water really got high contain of certain butrien right?

Acctually how long u practice the jiucing for you to lose up to 26kg? What is your weight now?

It probably took about 4 months to lose 26 kilos, but I only juiced fasted for about 2-3 weeks during that time. The rest of the time I ate mostly salads.

I am close to being back to the weight I started at, but it has been about 3 years since I went on that serious juicing/raw diet and I am strongly considering doing it again soon. I just wish that there were raw food restaurants commonly available, so that you didn't have to make everything yourself.

I wouldn't recommend fruit juices by themselves because they are so high in sugar content.

This could cause problems with your blood sugar levels.

However with a sensible diet and some fresh fruit juices and even better some fresh vegetable juices as supplements that would be my approach.

Limiting meals to lose weight is a recipe for disaster.

In fact there is plenty of evidence to suggest small regular meals 5 and 6 times a day is the way to go.

Eat quality food with a good mixture of fruit and vegies along with a good exercise program and the weight and health will come back gradually the same way the weight went on!

Honestly, once you do a two week juice fast the first time, it is quite easy. You KNOW that you can do it again, you don't have to worry about it.

I am thinking seriously about trying again soon, but I am also considering other treatments that are available at Tao Gardens in Chiang Mai.

I have to make some money first though!

As i mentioned before i did my juicing last month..But i only manage to losse up to 2kg only after the 5 day juicing program. But i take very long time for the meal recovery period. I took almost 2 week by eating soft and easy diggest food. Then what suprice me is that.. after the 5 day juicing my scale stop at 90kg, then after 2 week recovery period, i'm weighted at 86kg..

Haha... i totally losse 6 kg again in this month...

wow, really feel great...

Im tempted to give this juicing a try. But first a few questions.

When you say weight loss, are you specifically talking about fat loss around your midsection thighs etc, or do you lose all over, including muscle mass, as you arent eating much protein?

What juices would you intake specifically as a meal replacement? I dont think I could be full on a apple juice meal replacement diet.

That is, would you turn it into a smoothie by adding bananas, apples etc into a blender so it would be at least fulling?

I would say, that your stories are encouragement, as I wouldnt mind losing the fat around my waist. Im not obese but its starting to show. :o

The whole point of juice fasting is to not digest any food, so everything that you consume must be a liquid. After a few days, you lose most of your desire for food and it is quite easy to stick to liquids for long periods of time.

Every time that I have fasted on juices, mostly the fat seems to melt off, but you can't help but lose muscle as well.

From what I am told, most vegetable juices have some protein, so you get enough to keep you in good health, but probably not enough to preserve ALL your muscles during a fast. Supposedly, wheatgrass juice has a good percentage of high quality protein, but some people (like quackwatch) dispute this.

Fruit juices have very little protein, but they cleanse the toxins from your system very well, so you want to drink both.

One thing that you can do to preserve your muscle weight is go on short fasts and eat only raw food in between with lots of nuts, seeds, raw goats milk, avacodo and protein. You will get thinner and thinner, but not lose too much muscle mass.

yup i agree..

actually i'm not doing it full juice, mean i took fruit juice to cleance.. then used some organic product by my friend company to maintain my muscle..

i losse weight, and my tummy gone.. and it is more better than go sallon target on a area only, this you can slim all over ur body. So it is more even. You won't seem like fat face, fat ass and a slim waise only..

Pls feel free to go to my network to see my result and friends comment..(hope won't violet the regulation.)
