Bank Fees

A few weeks ago there was a long thread on how to transfer money from outside the country to bank accounts within the country.

In the thread it was noted that most of the time, a bank fee at the far end will be assessed. There were some inquiries about the assessment amount and I don't think anyone came up with any firm numbers.

This week, I had to transfer some money from out of the country to a Bangkok Bank account. The amount that I transferred was about 25,000TB. The far end bank fee was only 200TB, not insignificant but at less than 1%, it was a minor percentage of the near end wire transfer fee.
