Can anyone help me, I am getting conflicting answers from the spanish embassy regarding a visa for my thai fiance.

I am an english passport holder living and working in thailand wanting to visit my parents in benidorm for xmas.

at first i was told that i needed a Actuar Notarial (sorry if spelling incorrect) then i was told that i don't now need this document but i need a letter from the local police station nearest my parents home in spain.

i have all the other requirements i.e letter of invitation from my parents, title deeds to there home, insurance and so on.

im just confused which of the documents do the embassy need to issue a visa, ive called on numerous occasions and just keep getting different answers.

im going down to bangkok to apply for the visa on october first so any help would be welcomed.

... :o ...and what's the document to be said/written ? That your parents actually live and have a 'Residencia'/registered in Spain ?

If so, that wouldn't be a big problem would it ? Unless they're not registered a such, living in Spain.

im unsure thats the problem, before july i was told i needed the actual notorial, now im getting conflicting answers as to if i need that or not. one lady at the embassy told me that a letter from the police was enough, then another said that it wasn't. my parents are registered as living in spain, i have there NIE numbers etc, its just which form i need now,(police or actual notorial) then hopefully i will have everything to apply.

get your parents to go to the noteries office and draw up a document ,they will know what the wording will be.ie your parents live here, their nie numbers etc and they will guarantee her visit .

after being refused a shengen visa, our second application went throu no probs with this doc

.as soon as we got here (mallorca) my lawyer said apply for a resident visa, while she´s here .took two years but she just got it. yipee..... next week back to bkk for hols
