And this is why AI gets a bad name.

An agent searches out forums that mention AI, creates an account and spams the forum with a paid-for course - the agent cant even create a url link to the course.

What interests me is quantum computing. It's developing at a quick pace and will be in a position to render data centers obsolete within a few years. Or at least that's what some people think. And if that's true, maybe we'll finally have some actual intelligence.

Im not an expert in the field, but I try to read about it all anyway.

I use it for work to analyse images and run calculations, but it sometimes fails at the simplest tasks. For example I gave it a link to a website and asked it to create a QR code for the website. It sent me a picture of a QR code that didn't link to anything. When challenged it admitted it was just a picture and then sent me the working QR code.

I think the LLM module fools us into thinking we're speaking to an intelligent person, when really it's just a coding interface. So asking it deep questions about life, the universe and everything is just a waste of time and resources.

So far I've never seen one single example of AI that didn't look like AI. I've never seen a single thing that it created that hasn't looked artificial, and like something that was not created by a human.

Some ask to vague and open of a question and expect the Ai to provide accurate and specific info.

At least with Gemini and Grok if you use details and specifics explaining what you need solved Ai can do an amazing job at reviewing the data and provide a well written, detailed response.

Some areas Ai may struggle are understanding what product to recommend. Meaning unless you specify a price range, details on usage, and specifics on your performance requirements Ai may just offer the most expensive product with high reviews.

I think it’s clear that AI has a vastly superior intelligence to most of the members here, especially those from our former colonies.
