Andrew Accused Of Leaking State Secrets In Epstein Scandal

Police chiefs and ministers are facing mounting demands for a full investigation into the conduct of Prince Andrew during his decade as UK trade envoy, following explosive new allegations tied to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

A dossier of emails and photographs published by the Mail on Sunday alleges that Andrew allowed Epstein to help arrange meetings during an official 2010 trade mission to China — despite Epstein having already served jail time for procuring a minor for prostitution.

The documents claim Andrew shared sensitive information about the taxpayer-funded £45 billion bailout of Royal Bank of Scotland and that a senior palace aide leaked a confidential diplomatic cable on UK-China trade relations to a banking associate.

Emails also show Epstein arranging a Beijing dinner at the St Regis hotel with senior banker Jes Staley and instructing an intermediary to “confirm with Andrew.” Photographs from the trip show Andrew dining with a Chinese model and other guests during what were described as “private” days of the visit.

Separately, an adviser to a Middle Eastern government claimed Epstein boasted he was receiving intelligence from Andrew, former Cabinet minister Peter Mandelson and a “third man” inside Downing Street, declaring: “I’ve got the UK sewn up.”

Andrew, formally titled Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, has not responded to the latest allegations.

Thames Valley Police confirmed it is assessing relevant material but has not launched a formal criminal investigation.

Former ministers and opposition figures are now calling for a parliamentary or police inquiry into whether Andrew abused his public office and compromised national interests while serving as a taxpayer-funded trade ambassador between 2001 and 2011.

Key Takeaways

  1. Epstein Ties Resurface – Emails suggest Epstein helped organise meetings during Andrew’s official China trip.

  2. Sensitive Leaks Alleged – Claims include sharing confidential banking and diplomatic information.

  3. Probe Pressure Mounts – Police are assessing evidence amid calls for a full investigation.
