Children in California Subjected to Antisemitic Violence: Lawsuit

Featured Replies

The incidents named in this lawsuit are disturbing to say the least. It's a level of antisemitic violence against Jewish children never before seen in the U.S. It's even more shocking the school districts named refuse to remedy the situation. Within some groups in the U.S., antisemitism is now regarded as acceptable behavior. Jews are once again persecuted solely on the basis of their religion.

Young students at schools across California targeted with horrific antisemitic violence, threats and slurs: blockbuster lawsuit

Students at schools across California have been targeted with horrific anti-Semitic violence, threats and slurs, according to a new blockbuster lawsuit.

On Thursday, Louis D. Brandeis Center and StandWithUS filed the suit against the state of California, alleging it has allowed “pervasive harassment of Jewish and Israeli students in its public education system.”

The suit was filed on behalf of Jewish parents whose children have allegedly been the subjects of “cruel, persistent, and pervasive anti-Semitism” in public schools in California.

Nor is this a problem limited to California. The picture below doesn't come from a classroom in Gaza, Saudi Arabia, Iran or Yemen, but from a sixth-grade class in a suburb of Washington, D.C. The school administration allowed it as a class project depicting a "strong leader," even though Jewish students attended the school. Hitler should never be glorified in any U.S. school, whether or not it has Jewish students.

Wow says so much about the faculty at that school.

Brutal.

No surprise in "liberal" Democrat California.

Leftism and Anti-Semitism go together like Macaroni and cheese.

You can't change history, Hitler WAS a strong leader. One of the strongest in the 20th Century. Along with others, also responsible for millions of deaths.

Were the other leaders mentioned, surely the students aren't that stupid, and why no outrage against them and their 'victims' mentioned.

Never mind, I know why. Now hurry and accuse me of being anti sematic, for simply stating facts.

Hitler comes in as an amateur compared to top 2 leaders, responsible for millions of deaths.

Hitler was "strong" in the sense he had absolute control over the Nazi party, all levels of the German government and by extension, the lives of Germans. However, his rule was horribly destructive and morally indefensible. "Ruthless dictator" and "strong ruler" are not synonymous. The teacher should have explained the difference.

How do you know the teacher did not ???

So a civil suit filed, but no criminal charges. Let us know how that turns out, settlement or dismissed. I'm more interested in how my non Hispanic, white privilege is going, as I'm a minority, worldwide. Where's the outrage for me 🙄

I'd start 'WLM', but that would surely be considered racist.

Seems like just another headliner, without any details, to remind us all how oppressed they've been. Yes, peeked at OP's link, no much info there either.

Don't know why they have to remind us in the news, as another TV series, mini series or blockbuster movie or 10 this year will be released, to remind us again. Really is a bit tiring.

It is a bit scary that so many leftists hate Jews.

Dang, it's just a few entitled Jewish kids being slapped around. Come back when there's a real genocide against them.

Very charming when bigots show their true colors.

Do you think the kids slapping around the Jewish kids were of the left, or of the right?

The task was to show a strong leader. They did that. The fact that a few people are offended by it isn't relevant to the task.

I wouldn't know a jew if they stood in front of me, how is a student supposed to know there are jews among them ?
The jews will lose, but they did it, omg, the poor children, think of the horror.
Doesn't work like that anymore, it not what you know but what you can prove that counts. They can't prove any intentional harm

I wouldn't call Jewish kids bigots. In Israel maybe but not necessarily in CA.

It is intentional if coerced. Children repeat what they hear and are told. The litigation is against the school system, not the students. The complaint is detailed and provides an extensive inventory of wrongdoing on the part of teachers, principals and of school districts. This is a COMPLAINT FOR DECLARATORY RELIEF, INJUNCTIVE AND OTHER EQUITABLE RELIEF

In effect, it is a request for a court order to force the teachers to stop their political statements, incitement of hatred, harassment, and deviation from approved educational curriculum. It also requires the school districts to uphold State law and to follow their own regulations and procedures.

The wrongful curriculum subject matter was under the control of the teacher and the school principal and school board. The failure to supervise and to offer appropriate guidance and then not intervene when events became destructive is what is being pursued. The allegations of bullying and intimidation by some teachers is specific. The school boards were aware of the problems but failed to take remedial action. The responsible parties should be named and held accountable. At the very least they should be required to explain their actions, which they have refused to do.

I experienced biased and nasty teachers when I was a student. except in my case, some of them didn't like non whites, and others had a dislike of Irish catholic kids. A neighboring school had kiddie diddlers who got away with it for years. So yes, I can understand why there may have been a need for a court action. Educators did not do their jobs and engaged in allegedly wrongful acts.

The lawsuit brought brought by the parents indicated the teacher did not.

It's not a criminal offense for schoolchildren or anyone else in the U.S. to draw pictures of Hitler, but it should have been against school rules for them to portray Hitler as a strong leader. Making excuses for Hitler, much less glorifying him, is a hard "no" for U.S. public schools. It's never acceptable under any circumstances.

The lawsuit was settled in favor of the Jewish children and their parents. The school's owner publicly apologized, agreed to pay financial compensation and instituted a number of measures to combat antisemitism at the school. Here's a direct link to the text of the settlement:

https://brandeiscenter.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/2025-11-17-_-Nysmith-School-Agreement-_-Fully-executed.pdf

And a press report;

US school pays 100K for expelling Jews who faced antisemitism

A private Virginia elementary school will pay a Jewish family approximately $100,000 after expelling three siblings who reported severe antisemitic harassment.

...

Under the settlement with the Attorney General's Office, the school committed to paying financial compensation to the family and issuing a statement against violence based on race or religion. Additionally, the school will establish a committee to review similar complaints and adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance's definition of antisemitism.

History being rewritten again, to satisfy the offended. That's a shame. Cancel culture rewrite history again.

I'm glad I had the education I had, before PC was instituted instead of learning facts. No wonder people are so ignorant and have a hard time thinking for themselves. Fear of offending some special interest group.

What conceivable relationship is there between "rewriting history" and protecting Jewish children from bullying? For elementary schoolchildren to portray Hitler in a positive light, whether as a "strong leader" or anything else, is a distortion of history.

Efforts to combat antisemitism aren't political correctness but an attempt to remedy a real social problem that has in the past cost millions of people their lives.

What historical facts are being ignored in taking action against the bullying of Jewish children?

They could have made a poster about Mohammed instead. Then there wouldn't be any problems.

I think you meant anti-semantic.

My own eddication consisted of the Flag Salute and God Bless America. Cub Scouts are where the brainwashing starts and ends up in ROTC. You're in the Army now, boy.
