"The Atlantic reported that Trump privately made damning statements against U.S. service members and veterans, such as the late Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who had been a Vietnam prisoner of war, and former President George H.W. Bush, who was shot down as a Navy pilot in World War II. During a visit to France in 2018 for the centennial anniversary of the end of World War I, Trump also reportedly called Marines who died at Belleau Wood “suckers” and fallen soldiers at Aisne-Marne American Cemetery “losers.”

ALSO...Donald Trump said this about John McCain: “He’s not a war hero. He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”

So the MAGA faithful would like to believe a compulsive liar whose record is appalling.

What Trump said about McCain was despicable.

But how does that make it okay for you to keep regurgitating the "suckers and losers" lie?

Hey, I thought you said you were going to bring the video of him saying it?

Poor lefty, caught in another lie.

Shocking that the forum woke are siding with the authorities and mullahs. Weren't they claiming to be against fascism in all forms, yet here they are!

Hopefully Trump can free the poor Iranians, like he set in motion the chain of events that will free the Venezuelans. The left really hate freedom it seems. But then after their dire behavior during the Wu-flu we already knew that.

+100 !!.. Outstanding summary - though I suspect for some it will unfortunately fall straight into the TLDR category, which is a shame given the thought and effort that clearly went into putting together such a well-structured response.

It does get exhausting having to constantly rebut these dumbed-down, weaponised one-liners that try to compress complex events into simplistic bullet points. Properly addressing issues like this requires a layered, thought-through response, and that inevitably takes more than a lazy one-line retort. But that effort is rarely matched - and not many seem willing to put in the work required for an intellectually honest discussion.

The reality is that issues like this are messy, complex, and full of nuance. Yet they’re repeatedly repackaged into neat anti-Trump jabs or partisan talking points rather than being examined on their actual merits.

This makes me wonder - if Trump weren’t involved at all, would the same voices be quite so quick to score political points, or might there be a more serious attempt to debate the facts and grapple with the complexities of what’s actually happening.

I reread your post and your idea about "Properly addressing issues like this requires a layered, thought-through response, and that inevitably takes more than a lazy one-line retort." brought to memory some of Thomas Jefferson's quotes I recently heard concerning public education, critical thinking and thoughtfully taking time to research the facts and prepare a well-considered answer... to think through your argument before the debate. And here they are...

“Whenever the people are well-informed, they can be trusted with their own government.”

https://www.azquotes.com/quote/145702

1789 letter to Richard Price Full quote.

“Whenever the people are well informed, they can be trusted with their own government; that whenever things get so far wrong as to attract their notice, they may be relied on to set them to rights.”

https://www.freedominfo.org/resources/freedominfo-org-list-quotes-freedom-information/

Letter from Thomas Jefferson to William Charles Jarvis September 28, 1820

Excerpt from the letter:

“I know no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power.”

National Archives and Records Administration (Jefferson papers)

Jefferson believed that if ordinary people have accurate information and education, they are capable of governing themselves and correcting problems in government.

Information.

In his 1807 letter to John Norvell:

“Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper. Truth itself becomes suspicious by being put into that polluted vehicle.”

Looks like there was bias back then too.

In a 1787 letter to Edward Carrington, he wrote:

“Were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter.”

Absolutely need an avenue for good ideas and truthful info to flow to WE THE PEOPLE.

Education.

Look at the difference in the quality of education folks back then enjoyed versus the tribal Marxist indoctrination today.

Making the world safer. The "gateway to peace" begins with the annihilation of Irans military infrastructure, their terrorist proxy's, their nuclear ambitions. Trump is soon going to end as he states he is running out of targets to strike in Iran after 5,000 or more strikes have largely decimated Iran war apparatus. It's over for them, democrat haters are also the big losers witnessing Trumps huge wins.

Read and learn.....

Whether President Donald Trump called fallen U.S. service members "suckers" and "losers" is a subject of intense dispute, stemming from a 2020 The Atlantic article that cited anonymous sources, which has since been partially corroborated by former officials but adamantly denied by Trump and some of his former aides.

The Initial Report

  • Source: The Atlantic reported in September 2020 that in November 2018, Trump rejected a visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris, France, for American service members killed in World War I, allegedly stating, "Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers".

  • Additional Allegations: The same report stated that during that trip, Trump referred to Marines who died in the Battle of Belleau Wood as "suckers" for being killed.

  • Corroboration: The Associated Press and The Washington Post reported that they independently confirmed some of the remarks, including the "losers" comment.

  • John F. Kelly, a retired four-star Marine general and Trump's former White House chief of staff, confirmed in 2023 that Trump made these disparaging remarks, validating the reports in The Atlantic.

·  Trump's Denials: Donald Trump has consistently denied making the statements, calling them a "fake story" and a "hoax". Several aides who were present on the 2018 trip, including Sarah Huckabee Sanders and former National Security Adviser John Bolton, have stated they did not hear him make those specific comments, though Bolton noted the remarks were "not out of character".

So who believe??  John F. Kelly, a retired four-star Marine general and Trump's former White House chief of staff, OR trump, a compulsive liar, crook and felon. Liars will lie as trump does OFTEN.

The reason I don't put them on ignore is so I can watch them continuously make fools of themselves.

As a result of the strikes , Mike(USA Ambassador to the UN) bringing the receipts on the Iranian regime's terror reputation. Mentions examples , 5x "those weren’t military targets".."Its ports are not military targets"."these aren't military installations",etc etc.

"So, look, these attacks were so brutal and so indiscriminate as Iran shoots in all directions that nations that previously had serious disagreements have now joined together. They’ve now spoken as one voice.

Iran’s strategy of sowing chaos, of trying to hold their neighbors hostage, trying to shape the resolve of the region has clearly backfired, and that was shown by this vote today".

Four of six crew aboard a US military refuelling aircraft have died after it crashed in Iraq, US Central Command (Centcom) says.

Rescue efforts continue after the loss of the KC-135, it said, having earlier said neither hostile nor friendly fire were involved in the downing of the aircraft.

Centcom described the crash as happening over friendly airspace, but this is a region of Iraq where pro-Iranian militias operate. Iran's military claimed on state TV that an allied group had targeted the plane with a missile.

Trump says regime change in Iran will happen but not ‘immediately’

8 hours ago -- US President Donald Trump said on Friday regime change in Iran could eventually occur though it may not happen immediately, citing the Iranian authorities’ violent repression of protesters as a major obstacle to a popular uprising.

Speaking on Fox News Radio's The Brian Kilmeade Show, Trump said security forces loyal to the Islamic Republic routinely shoot demonstrators in the streets, making it difficult for unarmed civilians to challenge the regime despite growing pressure from the ongoing conflict.

“It’ll happen,” he said, “but it probably will be — maybe not immediately.

takeaway from the IRAN strikes, What does this mean (Tehran would cease its attacks unless hit first?

"Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian apologized to neighboring nations on Saturday, saying that Tehran would cease its attacks unless it was hit first. He also said President Donald Trump's call for an "unconditional surrender" was a "dream that they should take to their grave." Trump made the demand in a Truth Social post on Friday".

For the occupier of the white house this matches perfectly:
