Impossible to book an appointment with Chaengwattana on line

Featured Replies

Hello, I’m trying to book an appointment at the Chaengwatthana Immigration Office for a retirement visa extension. I’m certain the immigration website is working, since it’s possible to book appointments for other procedures. However, it seems impossible when it comes to the retirement visa extension. The message is "FULL". Does anyone know what’s going on?

  1. Has immigration stopped allowing appointments for this specific procedure?

  2. Or is demand so high that all slots are taken as soon as they go online — and if that’s the case, at what time should I log in to the site? Midnight?

Thank you

ThaiVisa, c'est aussi en français

ThaiVisa, it's also in French

I always go online at 1am. I never had any problem getting an appointment.

The booking window is 30 day in advance. The next day is added each new day..

As pointed out above try very early each am to grab newly added slot.

Naturally can't be fussy.

It's worth noting that currently showing up to 3 April. So it will be 4 more days until new appointment dates appear, (4 & 5 April being weekend, 6 is a holiday). However, it never hurts to check daily as cancellations can occur randomly at any time.

I have the same problem, tried numerous times this month. This morning tried at 00.20 but everything up to March 29th was 'full'. They should expand this service as it is apparently very popular. Should we all sit ready at 00.01 with fingers hovering over the keyboard to grab a slot?

Fact is there is only certain number of L extension desks.

It would be robbing Peter to pay Paul.

More resources to appointments = longer wait for walk ins which already involve long wait.

I agree in that the whole process is outdated, with unnecessary requirements etc.

Dark ages springs to mind.

Add to my whinge 90 reports and TM30.

What a joke.

Yes. If you want an appointment that's exactly what you should do. It doesn't matter what time they do it, the problem will be the same. High demand for something that is in limited supply. If you don't want to wait for the appointments to open up, then you don't want one that bad.

Tried today at 01:30: April and May are full

Tried right now again: April and May are full

Am I using the wrong website? I remember they changed it a year ago or so.

Maybe my bookmarks are outdated.

Whats the current website?

No appointments at all available

None. I just tried now.

Just my advice: when I can't get an appointment I never go early.

I get there prior to lunch break and obtain a queue ticket.

You must have your TM7 filled in to get ticket.

Use the break to do eg banking update, photocopying etc.

When you go to enter don't get in the long line as you have a queue ticket.

You will be seen at some point.

Note: bank letter and bank statement can be obtained days prior to attending for application.

How many days before extension appointment date is the bank letter valid for?

Bank Letter and Bank Statement valid for 7 days.

I prefer to not push limits so I obtain them one of two days prior.

I update my bank book on day of application.

Fortunately there is street front branch nearby that opens at 8.30am.

I prefer not to use machine.

I use a FD account, the book can not be updated on the day of extension, it is only updated on the days interest accrues.

So, from the book nobody will know whether this account still actually exists.

Will CW accept the statement and the letter dated yesterday?

Yes..

Regarding your other question re FD account. That can be updated by making deposit in day of application.

I did that for years by min deposit of 1000b.

At same time many posts that for FD account that was not required at CW
