C'mon Scottie, you were told by Yagoda that you don't have to argue with him, who made the statement. He suggests to argue with Pete Hegseth, the former television guy on "Fox & Friends Weekend".

How can you possibly know that as there is no mine hunting capability in the Gulf at this time!

Even if there was do you have any idea of the time it would take to search the areas involved and what the mathematics of "Mine Clearance Probability" are?

I will give you a hint! It can never get to 100%!

I just reported what the Sec of War said. Argue with him.

Using your formulae, there are mines everywhere.

The Sec of War brings up the threat of the Strait of H , being held hostage again,as he calls out the media networks.

Read what I said!

I was talking about probability after the clearance of searched//declared minefields, not the world's oceans!

I don't care what anyone has said, especially the Trump Government, as they CANNOT know for sure whether mines have been laid in the Straits or not!

It is impossible for anyone to truthfully claim that no mines have been laid in the Straits!

Another thing is the threat of mines being laid rather than actual mines being laid can have the same or similar effect (there might be mines). It may be that the MSM (popular news source for some on here and the go to for AN) has done the work for the IRGC by saying mines have been laid with zero evidence for this happening. I'll stand corrected if anyone can cite actual mines being found or being responsible for damaging or sinking a vessel.

Hegseth's claim should be very reassuring for for the owners of ships and their crews. Earlier reports that mines have been laid will now be dismissed as empty rumors. The Trump administration's reputation for honesty will dispel all doubts.

And here's more good news from the commander-in-chief himself:

On Wednesday evening, Trump told reporters the Strait of Hormuz — the narrow channel between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, where about a fifth of the world’s oil supply flows through — was in good shape despite being closed since the conflict’s beginning earlier this month.

“The straits are in great shape,” Trump said. “We’ve knocked out all of their boats. They have some missiles, but not very many. I think we’re in very good … we’re in very good shape.”

last week Trump said: Irans military destroyed, so why is the Strait of H still shut?

Lies, lies and more lies. How anyone still can believe it is beyond me...

Meanwhile US Bonds are crashing. Within this year, the US will be in big trouble, it is just logical...

To be fair, I think that what Trump meant was that after decades and decades of ship after ship traversing the strait, it just needs a little "me time" to rest and reflect. And that it opens again for business, it will be better and stronger than ever.

What you don't seen to understand is that what may be an empty rumor to you ( and why do you spell "rumor" the Anglo-Irish way? Hmmmm...), may be a cause for alarm to ship owners and insurance companies. Maybe, just maybe, they don't take the reassurances of Pete Hegseth as gospel.

So there is no report, there is only infowar rumours promulgated by Iran supporters. Got it.

Every time I hear "FOX NEWS" I am starting to shake in my boots. They are nothing but a re-incarnation of Joseph Goebbels "Ministry of propaganda and folks education". New layout, same concept.

Not to worry, Yagoda is a sharp and keen analyst. For years, he claims that Russia is losing the Ukrainian war.😉

Say what you like about the Iranians but whilst the Israelis cower and scream and hide in their bunkers this fella comes out walking the streets and is heralded like a hero - he knows he may be dead soon but he has no fear.

Dead heroes are OK. Dead is dead. Ill take a cower over dead.

No. News sources that have a lot to lose if it's shown that they're lying. Unlike infowars which took a court case to make it pay for lying, Maybe you think shipping companies and insurance companies look on such sources as the equivalents of infowars.

The 'failing' New York Times today - if it wasn't reporting the objective truth you could almost beleived it was trolling the CinC.

Someone should tell Trump that the NYTimes is enjoying record profitability. Apart from that, as that edition of the Times shows, Russia has a lot to be grateful to Trump for. And not just Russia, China too. Trump is withdrawing US forces from the Far East and sending them to the Mideast. I bet China can't wait to scarf down all those appetizing chips made in Taiwan.
