Our water supply is always a bit iffy upstairs (PWA pressure often low)

I was looking for an easy fix for our morning showers.

Something where the shower temperature is constant even if not much water pressure from the mains.

Who has tried one of these?

I use them in several one storey houses. Works very well. You have hot water even during power cut.

Yeh it magically just flows in, no pump required.

You normally have some pressure in incoming communal water even without power. If you connect your pump with a check-valve to bypass tank and pump.

We have used those Chinese ones from Lazada. One failed (leaking) after 3 years, we replaced it with a Chinese 100 litre tank, again from Lazada about 2,500 baht and it works fine. But I expect to get 3 years out of it and then I'll buy a Steibel.
