Uk Banks and Lloyds Bank Branch closures & tax re Thai spouse

Featured Replies

Just a quick question when a branch shuts down the account and sort code gets transferred to the next local branch?
Also and not seen this are people been getting forms regarding tax residentencies.
Some have and some not and those who do it takes 3 months to get to Thailand and supposedly sent by air mail or recorded?

My HSBC branch was closed but I know my account kept the same sort code and asccount number.

Same for me with HSBC. Branch closed but sort code & account remain the same.

Same for me with Barclays, my account was originally opened at their main IT site (Radbroke Hall in Knutsford) but has moved a couple of times & last time I checked is now in Northwich High Street.

I need to get around to telling them that I don't live in the UK anymore, in my defence they should know as they moved me to Singapore 19 years ago & at that time told me to use my parent's address for "Correspondence".

Frankly, I would leave it like that.
