Mace slams Graham for supporting Iran war, labels him Washington’s ‘war machine’

03/25/26 6:23 PM ET -- Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) on Wednesday railed against Republicans who are pushing escalation of the Iran war and reiterated her lack of support for boots on the ground.

Mace’s Wednesday comments in opposition to the conflict come after a House Armed Services briefing, after which she said the “gap” between the public and private justification for the war is “deeply troubling.”

“The justifications presented to the American public for the war in Iran were not the same military objectives we were briefed on today in the House Armed Services Committee,” she wrote in a post on X.

Her statement follows weeks of Democratic scrutiny over the Trump administration’s argument that Iran posed an “imminent threat” to the U.S.

Nick Kristoff in NY Times today says from the other SCarolina Senator L. Graham as to Kharg Island:

We did Iwo Jima; we can do this.” What Graham didn’t mention was that 26,000 Americans were killed or wounded capturing the Japanese island of Iwo Jima near the end of World War II.

If I recall correctly we actually lost more GIs(marines) than the Japanese lost on iwo…..aka japans Alamo…..now dear leader is possibly sending our guys against a similar idealistic enemy….actually the smart money is occupying the islands across from Iran to help indirect any offensive moves against shipping.hopefully this will be the case if it actually happens.

She was miffed because "war machine" is her pet name for her, err, pleasuring device.
