Does Baby Need A Visa

Featured Replies

does everyone have same problem?

can baby stay here over time with no charge or do they also need apply for visa and do visa run every time as the parents do?

i heard that some babies stay here over years,

they have to pay for the over stay when they go through immigration? or is there a policy about it?

thanks for u all. my baby's visa run out , and we are going to apply one year visa,i am not sure if we have to apply it for my baby or not. many people said baby doesn't need one. but the visa agent said she does need one as same as me. how about later when we go through immigration, when they find her visa run out, will they ask me to pay her over stay fee 500b per day?

appreciate for all answers...

Everyone needs a visa - but you will not be charged overstay fines. With the new 90 day in six month rule it is best to keep visa up if baby will be doing any travel - one person had a very bad experience when an immigration officer was not going to allow child to re enter Thailand as the overstay counts against the 90 day rule and child did not have a visa. This was early on and don't believe this will happen now but best to have the visa or extension of stay and keep everything legal.
