Bkk-clark Philippines

Featured Replies

Can anyone confirm that this fall, Thai will start flights to Clark Field (Angeles City) in the Philippines. I read this at another source and was wondering if this is true or not. Would be quite convenient for a certain type of tourist...direct flights between probably their favorite destinations in Asia :o

No, though it seems to be a rather funnily confusion: THis route is done (or was it temporarily halted?) by THAI AIR ASIA, the red low-cost carrier anyone always seems to be complaining about. Due to different countries/different ownership AirAsia is based in malaysia (and I think always flies to Clark from KUL), and the Thai branch (partly once owned/set up by that Taksin family) is thus named Thai Air Asia

ThaiAirAsia did never fly from BKK to Clark. but I wonder why they didnt...... the existing flight of the Malaysian Mother Company from KUL to Clark is an even longer distance than the one from BKK to Clark...... probably, when ThaiAirAsia gets their first new A-320 delivered, they will start to serve this destination, and I am sure it will be successfull. The only new destination they already announced is KUNMING, as soon as the first A320 arrives....
