Philippine Airlines (PAL) will resume its flights from Manila to Riyadh starting April 10, incorporating a refueling stop in Bangkok due to the Middle East conflict. The announcement came on April 8, stating that passengers will remain on board during the brief technical stop in Thailand. This adjustment aims to ensure the safety and well-being of passengers and crew, which remains the airline’s top priority.

The decision to stop in Bangkok comes amid ongoing regional tensions impacting direct flight routes. PAL has emphasized its commitment to resuming normal operations and capacities when conditions improve. This includes revisiting the route configuration to restore direct flights as soon as it is feasible.

Passengers are strongly encouraged to confirm their travel arrangements prior to arrival at the airport. Keeping up with updated flight schedules via the airline’s website or hotlines is advised to minimize inconvenience. The temporary measure reflects the airline's proactive approach to navigating operational challenges while maintaining safety standards.

Looking ahead, PAL anticipates closely monitoring geopolitical developments to determine when traditional routes can be reinstated. In the meantime, passengers are advised to expect potential adjustments in flight plans and schedule changes depending on external circumstances.
