Thailand: Best locale to be when the Israel-War-Blowback hits the fan…

Thailand: Best locale to be when the Israel-War-Blowback hits the fan…???

Dear Folks,

No doubt, you have been asking yourselves this very same question.

And so, according to your considered opinion, what might be the best place, IN THAILAND, to ride out the ever-escalating Israel-USA-Iran war?

Certainly, you would not wish to return to Israel….right?

But, given that you are in Thailand, then what might be the best place to be, in Thailand.

IMHO, almost any place was a good place during the COVID pandemic, here in Thailand.

However, this time, the repercussions of the Israeli-War (not the Iran-War), might be far more pervasive.

So then, what might be the best place in Thailand to ride out the coming storm?

Are you planning for the inevitable?

I think I might begin my planning.

Please provide your replies on….

ONLY A NEED-TO-KNOW basis.

Thank you for your suggestions and help..

Best regards,

Gamma

Nope. Didn't even cross my mind. Not seeing any negative, for me, due to a little skirmish in the M.E. There has been and will always be a never ending conflict in the M.E. Way too profitable for there ever to have peace allowed.

Just another big nothing in MSM as far as I'm concerned. Can't remember any year that the M.E. isn't headliners in the MSM.

Yes, until there is not any conflict.

Beware the peace, because, when there is no fighting in the ME, then we will have died.

The universe is merely a digital simulation.

We can re-start, ....any time we like.

That is witty. I've read and heard the first sentence often but the second sentence is new. Would not restarting be awful?

Infinite love is the only truth...everything else is illusion.

Only if you were forced to restart in your old body, ....maybe.

Also, it is not true the that Universe restarts...according to the most recent accepted theories.

There will be no more explosions and implosions.....

Except, maybe, in the ME.

One BIG BANG is never enough for The BB, of course.

Earlier, this late afternoon, the outdoor temp was 38-degrees C.

Indoors, here, the temp was 18-degrees C.

BUT

BUT....

But, is this type of lifestyle sustainable, now that we can easily see the energy stocks of the world crumbling around us?

NO, it is not sustainable.

So, hence, this glorious Topic:

What might be the BEST place to live in Thailand where one needs far less energy to live comfortably?

And, without Air Purifiers, at least where I am, this place is not tolerable.

Any GOOD Ideas?

Leaving Thailand is not a good option.

BUT.....Finding the very best locale, from a low-energy-use perspective.....seems like a good idea.

NO: I do not intend to set up a Solar Farm in my yard, thank you.....

Wait and see.

Time is on my side, this time.

Koh Phangan.

If an imbecile like Trump is allowed to continue to lead there is a good chance this could escalate to the point of no return. Even now he is speculating on future additional "excursions" into other nations.

Where I come from an excursion is a trip to the Bahamas. For Trump it's killing thousands of women and children, and destroying major infrastructure of a nation that was not a danger to us at this point in time, and driving up inflation to a ridiculous degree.

I do agree somewhat that Thailand would be a fairly safe place to be if things really go ballistic. It just doesn't have the resources that other nations would want and it would more than likely be left alone.

However the big caveat here is whether or not you're dependent upon foreign currencies and the US dollar. I could see a scenario where the US dollar drops to somewhere between 5 and 10 baht to the dollar. Also if you're heavily invested in bonds or the US stock market you could truly end up upside down if things get really bad. It's quite easy for me to imagine the Dow dropping to as low as 5,000 points, if this nonsense continues, which could end up triggering a worldwide depression.

For a lot of us the stock market dropping to that level combined with the dollar drop might be quite a strain and would require a lot of belt tightening. If I were in a position I'd have at least half of my liquidity in Asian based currencies or investments. The exception being Thai real estate, which I do not think is a good investment at this point.
