Admiral Dong Jun delivered a pointed message to the Trump administration and the US Navy. He confirmed that Chinese ships are actively moving through the Strait of Hormuz and that Beijing will honor its trade and energy agreements with Tehran.

"Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz and it is open for us," the Hormuz Letter reported, citing Admiral Dong Jun...

Analysts noted the repricing in oil markets reflects traders reassessing the blockade's effectiveness now that China has entered the frame.

So, let's see if Trump backs down. In an article I posted in this forumI noted that in addition to rare earths, China also pretty much controls the worlds supply of gallium, which is essential for missile defense detectors. And the US needs a lot of it because of the loss of some of them in the theater of war. The consequences of f****** with China could be very grave for the US economy.

Still, apparently, a Chinese tanker did turn back so who knows what will come next. Interesting times.

Since China hasn't tapped its petroleum reserves the country it is not imperative that they risk facing a standoff with the U.S. Navy. But what happens when it becomes necessary for China to tap that reserve is anyone's guess. Trump better be prepared for that day.

Iran controlling the traffic flow in the Strait for political and financial reasons. Then the US Navy blockading the Strait. And maybe next the Chinese Navy blockading the US Navy. Fun times ahead!
