Workbench

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend where to buy a decent workbench?

Thanks.

What type of workbench, and for what?

I have two of these in my home work shed.

They are ok for the price but I would not use them for anything too heavy duty.

How thick, and what kind of material is the top and the shelf?

Just build one yourself, and get one of the locals to do the Welding for you, or use screws and bolts, not that complicated

Some sort of laminate wood, bout 3/4" thick.

Typical china quality, steel is thin.

For something like this in something decent, you're in a $2,000-$4,000 range, and for something good, $8,000 to $20,000.

Anything less than $1,000 would be junk.

Again, what do you want it for? Woodworking, welding, mechanics, what?

WOW! i just need something for pottering about on with some kind of storage ( not much ), doesn't need to be too heavy duty.

Is it like flake-board, finger-joint or masonite?

3/4" is pretty for the money.

Hand tool storage?

What kind of budget?

The bench Rolf linked to looked okay for the money.

Where are you? You should visit Thai Watsadu, Megahome, HomePro and Global House and see what you like, and what it might cost.

I bought a simple trolley bench on Lazada for 12000 long time back. It is okay
