TDAC.- reluctant on phone

Featured Replies

I am reluctant to use the DTAC on my phone when I return to Thailand at Immigration as things can disappear easily. Will Immigration at the airport accept the DTAC printed on paper from my computer?

If not, any better suggestions?

I have submitted the DTAC form that was printed from my computer twice and has been accepted with no problems.

Moving to the Visas forum.

I have yet to provide a DTAC when passing through immigration. An officer told me they have the info already. But I do keep a copy on my phone.

This is correct. Have a screenshot on phone.

It won't be required.

Came through last night and showed my new E Visa, I asked about TDAC, and the IO informed mt that she had already seen it.

As an aside I had my latest Med chit from my Bangkok Hospital on me, and sailed through the priority lane. I never asked, but the dude pushing the wheel chair, took me straight there....

I thought you had to fill in the form, so why do they have the info already? When I went through 6 months ago the IO would not let me through so I had to find another IO and there was a bit of toing and froing wich cost me about an hour.

Come on, you can't be this naive.

When you fill in the form online (either on your phone/PC, or at the airport before immigration)and submit it, you will receive (almost immediately) an email that confirms receipt.

This info is tied to your Passport#, and when you reach the IO he will have all the required info (from your submitted form) on his terminal, when you hand him your passport.

Even though its probably a good idea to keep the email on your phone until you pass Immigration, it is not needed to be shown to the IO.

Well maybe system has improved from 6 months ago.

I have personally entered Thailand 4 times since last November.

I had to show NOTHING to immigration upon entry regarding TDAC

Even if it was required I had screenshots of approved email.

You have correct answers above.

Good advice. I always screenshot the approval, however never been required.

It’s done via a website.

Yes they will

I always take a screenshot just in case as a backup

They already have it on their computer if you file it a couple of days before, they didn't even mention it when I arrived. I printed mine out as my phone "Loses" things regularly. They never even mentioned the TDAC

I fly with KLM and they have asked to see the TDAC before allowing you to board the flight. However this depends on the staff as another time they did not ask.

If you can keep a copy on your phone a printed copy may or may not come in handy.

That would annoy me, as there is no requirement to have a completed TDAC to board the flight! There are terminals to complete a TDAC at Bangkok Airport.

It did not anoy me as I would much prefer to have completed the TDAC before a 12 hour flight than after.

Always take a screenshot. Do not rely on being able to re-enter some website.

As a fairly regular traveller to/from Hong Kong, I've also had the same Imm response at both Swampy and DMK.

I usually print it out anyway...just in case, and it serves as a good travel record (exiting HK as a PR requires only a thumb print...no stamps etc).

Now, on returning here, the TDAC is never even mentioned .

"We know everything already"

Most Samsung phones do a fair job of print screening. I save a few copies around.

I concur - you do the TDAC, it gets entered on the Immigration system and that's it - nobody asks to see it.

HOWEVER.... When I checked in for my flight in London, the Emirates check in guy asked me if I had done a TDAC - I said yes and that was it.

To that end, I keep a copy on my phone and/or print it out "just in case". Same as with my ticket in fact.

TDAC is a requirement for entering Thailand

like many countries u need paperwork to enter

Australia , New Zealand and many Many more

so if the airline askes you do you have this then your answer should be yes ,

if not then they ask you to do before leaving where you are coming From .can do on your phone at the airport.

so what the problem Really Nothing .

abide by the land rules you are good to get in .

in Bkk airport there is a possibility to do it but save yourself the hassle

it really takes 10 minuets of your time .

make sure you have the government site its free no cost .just 10 minuets of your time .

happy travels
