Just so we are absolutely clear here, are you @Yagoda claiming that the FBI agents fired by Kas Patel are/were corrupt?

Of course. Why would he fire them otherwise?

This is an incredibly low end, low quality, bottom of the barrel man, with incredibly minor qualifications for the position that he's currently occupying. Reminds me a little bit of his cohort Pete.

It is my understanding that, contrary to popular belief, skunks are not fond of alcoholic beverages.

So you've won the war, Iran has been defeated, the SOH is open, the price of oil is dropping, the Iranians are begging you to take their uranium, right?🤣

So several respected MSM news sources are reporting that Kash Patel's binge drinking is getting out of hand.

FBI Director Kash Patel sues the Atlantic for $250M, alleging defamation

Wasnt it the Atlantic that made up the bs story about Trump grabbing the beasts steering wheel - even though physically impossible and a total lie? These nutcases need shutting down.

You may want to amend that one to what trump says Kash does and yogata uses to troll.

From the complaint:

Director Patel has not targeted political or personal adversaries; FBI personnel

actions are taken only where employees have acted unethically or undermined the mission.

Cant wait for discovery:

As noted in the OP World News topic:

Defamation cases against news organisations are often dismissed before reaching the evidence-gathering phase, known as discovery.

NY Times vs Sullivan. Question of fact here

I quoted one sentence from the World OP topic. The following sentence was:

Adam Steinbaugh, a First Amendment lawyer with the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, suggested on social media that the complaint faces significant challenges in proving actual malice.

Maybe he hasn't heard of Sullivan.

He and I differ on the legal effect of the facts

From Reuters this AM:

"It's a heavy hill to climb to prove actual malice," said Deanna Shullman, a media lawyer with Shullman Fugate PLLC in Florida, adding that she believes the lawsuit has little chance of succeeding. "A failure to obtain comment from the other side alone is not sufficient to establish actual malice."

It's a continuing source of amusement, and admittedly sometimes empathy, for folks so easily and completely captured by a cult, particularly when the cult leader is so obviously a scam artist and a clown. There's guys like David Koresh, the "Reverend" Jim Jones, Donald Trump---all clownish cult leaders who somehow appeal to the weakest of humans. Tough to understand, but I guess many humans are just terribly flawed.

That anyone would believe the "incredible coincidence" that all the fired bureau agents just happened to work on things anathema to Trump, like the Russia investigation, the stolen documents, and the 6 Jan 2021 terrorists. One does not need to run those commonalities through Claude Mythos to conclude the actual reason for their firings....yet the cult BELIEVES!

A similar "coincidence" took place in former AG Bondi's DoJ: all those who prosecuted the 6 Jan '21 terrorists were fired.

The news Kash actually filed the lawsuit is great news for the Atlantic. They might even make some money off of it, as the lawsuit may well be proven to be frivolous.

The Atlantic writer had her sources, but the lawsuit opens up a whole new range of folks to question...and to question under oath in discovery. She can call every member of Patel's security detail. She can call any bureau agent she wants. She can call the pilots of Patel's taxpayer funded jet. She can even call Patel's girlfriend, as they are not married.

Methinks the little guy is going to regret his decision.

In a federal defamation case, the defense can also call the plaintiff Patel for discovery and as a trial witness (if it ever gets that far).

My prediction is that by 2030 this guy is going to be down and out and destitute.

The irony will come when after he leaves this FBI position ICE deports him.

Former FBI assistant director Frank Figliuzzi had said Patel has “been visible at nightclubs far more than he has been on the seventh floor of” the bureau’s headquarters in Washington, D.C. He made the comments on the MS NOW show Morning Joe.

He's effective, so the left hates him.

All indices show him to be doing a spectacular job.

But a brown man that does not bend a knee to the left must crushed.

He drinks, so what?

it's amazing how this POS got to the post, should we understand neither the Reps nor the Dems did a background check before his confirmation hearing, whowhow that's quite a surprise because the guy has been caught drunk many times and he never hide it before... an alcoholic always an alcoholic

he was arrested for public intoxication after he was escorted out of a basketball game. He was underage at the time. Patel said he paid a fine.

“In February/March of 2005, some friends and I were out celebrating,” Patel said of the second arrest,

Oh no, he got drunk when he was in high school, saw it aint so!

The left has to attack Kash personally, because they have nothing else. Every FBI performance measure has improved significantly since Kash replaced the lying, feckless POC Christopher Wray, and they can't stand it.

Now he's in the news for protecting his girlfriend with his body when the shooting started, so the left will call him a misogynist.
