Gemini-3.1 Is Evolving: Can that whippersnapper, Sammy, ever catch up?

Gemini-3.1 It’s Evolving: Can that whippersnapper, Sammy, ever catch up?

Dear Folks,

Have you recently noticed many important improvements in Gemini 3.1, at least on the desktop, especially in April 2016?

Is it not unlikely that whippersnapper, Sammy-Boy, can catch up at this late date?

Will he now be eating the dust of Gemini, forever, and forever?

What is the KEY new thing about how Gemini works which makes it even more useful now?

Gemini, now, can access all of our data in order to provide far more targeted output for all of our prompts.  Of course, you must opt-in to Workspace, in order to obtain this functionality.

In other words:  We will NOT need to continually remind Gemini of what we said before, even months before. Gemini has now transitioned into becoming a real and useful assistant….sort of a Gal Friday, without the legs/skirt, and lip.

My advice is to use Gemini on a desktop or a decent laptop, but not on a phone, if you want the real experience.

Gemini 3.1 has evolved, and its new evolution has become 10-times more useful, within just a couple of months.

Far smarter than any dumb blond, for sure, and it can type fast, too…!!!

But, can she, Sammy, even type?

Who knows, and who even cares….

I would be lost without Gemini 3.1.

And some say that AI is bad?

How can they say this?

My suggestion is to open Gemini using  the “Multiple Accounts” add-on for Firefox, using two or more Google Gemini Accounts, and then have many Geminis talking to each other….because…its useful, fun, and also gets a lot of work done.

IF you do not know how to do this, use Firefox and Multiple iterations of Gemini in multiple tabs, then please just ask Gemini. She will  be happy to oblige.

While Sammy is still trying to decide which icon looks "friendlier," Gemini has essentially moved into the professional workspace and changed the locks.

Best regards,

Gamma

Note: Concerning what Gemini, herself, might have to say for herself.......

Gemini 3.1: The March/April Power Specs

The "Notebooks" Workspace (April 2026)

The Tech: Full integration of NotebookLM features into the main Gemini desktop interface, allowing for pinned chats and uploaded PDF/Document knowledge bases.

The Benefit: Converts a simple chatbot into a persistent project manager that "remembers" your specific documentation across sessions.

I tried chatgpt and copilot. Not good.

Yes.

You are right.

Not good.

I asked ChatGPT if this Cannabis plant in my yard is male or female and it said female. I then asked Google Gemini 3.1 and it said male.

So I went back to ChatGPT, told it what Gemini said, and it backed down and said it agreed with Gemini.

So even ChatGPT knows who is better.

In fact, the Entire Planet is gradually waking up to the realization that ChatGPT is nothing more than....

An extension of Sam Altman's warped and perverted brain, on steroids.

Altman has created a monster in his own image.

ChatGPT was mostly trained on Sammy's brain waves, you know......

Garbage In, Garbage Out.

Mush In, Mush Out.

Gemini is truly a fantastic resource that just keeps on getting better, and ever more useful for doing real work, and making life easier.

It really should have been obvious that a Pipsqueak such as ScamAltman could never compete with Real Scientists, such as those who publish real work, at Google.

Both Sam Altman and Elizabeth Holmes need to hook up.

They were made for each other.

I shared the 10 most recent topics from each of the two GGs with Claude, Gemini, Grok, and ChatGPT and asked which one is more unhinged. They all came back with the same unanimous conclusion: both are FUBAR.

Please....!!!

There is only ONE real GG...

Any other so-called GGs must be pretenders.

UPDATE: I took additional photos of the plant this morning. Gemini now says the initial evaluation by ChatGPT was correct and the cannabis plant is a female. I went back to ChatGPT and told it what Gemini said, and it too now says it is female.

ChatGPT is displaying beta behavior.

Alternative theory, perhaps ChatGPT is overindulging in gender identity, if he says he's a she, then, you must agree - thus the plant is now a female 😁

Everyone seems to be LOLA fans, these days.

You need to drop these melodramatic posts about Altman. The AI industry has outgrown any single figure, and he is just one small part of something much larger now. Your fixation on him is obvious, but it is not widely shared.

Move on. Pay attention to the bigger picture. If you want to talk about the industry, then actually do that. This is a business, not a stage for personal grudges. Right now, these ranting, over the top hot takes make you come across as emotionally immature.

FALSE.

a. My fellow Elon agrees with me.

b. Read the words of Karen Hao.....

c. Need I go on?

You really need to get up to speed on this Topic.

You haven't an inkling about what you are talking about.

Your statement is merely a knee-jerk reaction according to to your very uninformed opinion.

d. I love this Karen...by the way..... An MIT grad who knows what she is talking about.

e. Sam cannot be trusted. And, he is even worse than you might think....

f. You might not have even a basic clue about that which you speak.

g. Why don't you subscribe and actually learn something, by the way?

Good Luck, Sir.....

You are obviously a FAN-BOY for SAMMY-BOY....

You need to get over it.

Good Luck, Sir.....!!!!

AI is a tool and I use it. I follow some of the developments in the industry. I have no interest in personal players and my time is limited.

What will happen if AI companies are no longer able to subsidize your use of AI?

Will you use it a lot less?

Will you hire back all of the workers you have recently fired?

I'm not an enterprise user or using it as a business tool. So they aren't subsidizing anything. I use it the same as every other free user.

Haven't thought about it. But don't envision needing to use less. My small level of use will either remain free or only cost a small fee in the future. Nothing to lose sleep over the way you do.

Hiring full time is too expensive. I hire by the hour, pay as I go, and only for what I use. Don't you?

You are not paying for the full cost of the AI services you use.

Simple as that.

Feel free to remain in your adamant denial, whether you wish to or not.

Most people are extremely rigid and refuse, or are unable, to change their views and beliefs about reality, no matter how logical the argument.

I never debate with these fools.

This is human nature.

The views of humans are almost never changed by resorting to logic, or discussion.

There is a reason for this, and you should google a few academic articcles.

You will learn something invaluable.

Fine. Who cares. Not my problem. It's a free tool, I use it. If I have to start paying something for it one day then either I will or I won't. I'll cross that bridge if it ever appears. Whether these platforms ever become profitable or not isn't my problem, it's theirs. Why would you even care either? Sounds like a bizarre obsession you have.

What did you study in school?

What level of education do you have.

Some have curiosity about the world, and a wide range of academic interests.

Curiosity about the world is a crucial prerequisite for excellent academic performance.

Some are born with it.

Some are able to develop this curiosity with the help of excellent teachers.

Some don't have it, and never will.

Trump lacks basic curiosity.

You seem to lack this important sense of curiosity, as well.

To some, I guess, curiosity might seem like a bizarre obsession with the world.

I do not understand people who have this feeling, or are unable to be curious about their world.

No doubt, you were not interested in academics, science, and most of what students study.

Strange, but there are people like you in this world, and probably too many.

Very unfortunately for Elon, the US courts are very biased, and rarely decide based on truth.

In addition, Americans are notoriously dumb and do not understand Science.

Americans do not run their country based on logic, but BY THE GUT, mostly Trumpian Guts.

Elon thinks this trial will be decided fairly, and logically, but he is dead wrong.

As usual, your ability to see straight is clouded by bias and you got it all wrong. According to your lover, Gemini:

Legally, OpenAI appears to have the edge. The defense has produced emails showing Musk himself suggested a for-profit pivot in 2017 and even tried to merge OpenAI with Tesla. The lack of a formal, signed "Founding Agreement" document makes Musk's "breach of contract" claims technically difficult to prove.

  • Author

Will logic prevail, and will OpenAI consequently fail?

Or, will this monstrosity be artificially propped up by fools in the government or the military, or some other fools?

Another hilarious yet informative interview with ED.....

Ed seems to have a brain unlike many reporting the news these days.
