Featured Replies

Don't realy know where to post this so i'll post it here. i'm looking at a 4k TV and if any members can post a site if like Mackro where TVs can be looked at like a curry's here in the UK. i U tubed Mackro in Thailand but just got a comparison of other stores. So if any members can post sites that can be viewed for a TV id be obliged. I dont want a state of the art Oled just a decent 4k like LG or Samsung thanks.

In Udon - go into Homepro - big TV dept

Moving this to local Isaan forum - for local knowledge

I can explain it for you - but I can't understand it for you 😀

I would look at Panasonic, as I've had Samsung & have LG, and wouldn't buy again. HomePro recommendation for Udon is a good one.

This site has reviews for different models that are sold in Thailand

https://lcdtvthailand.com/en/blogs/reviews

Panasonic was brilliant in the days of Plasma tv not sure if I would consider them now as some of their TV's are made by Turkish brand Vestel

You should include TCL and Hisense/Toshiba in your search

for the past few years Samsung have not provided a full 3 year warranty it was a sliding scale warranty for years 2 and 3

"Sliding Scale" / Extended Coverage (Specific Promotions): In some regions like Thailand, a promotional 3-year warranty exists for specific TV models, where the coverage amount decreases after the first year. For instance:

  • Year 1: 100% repair coverage (standard warranty)

  • Year 2: Up to 70% of the original purchase price covered if the unit cannot be repaired

  • Year 3: Up to 60% of the original purchase price covered if the unit cannot be repaired

Between now and end of June stores should be heavily discounting 2025 models

2026 models are normally showcased at the CES show at Las Vegas January of each year

TCL have just released their 2026 models.

You should be able to pick up a bargain on 2025 models.

Agree, second mentioned very difficult to get any clear answers about repairs.

TCL 75" = 15,000bht

Hisense 85" = 22,000bht

3 years warrenty on them.

If you have a dark room get a projector. I have a couple of Anker brand ones that work very well. Goes good with an android TV box.

It's very hard to get TV's repaired anywhere these days.

It's just not worth it.

A mate bought a TCL 4 years ago and was given a 5 year warranty.

It crapped itself last week.

TCL sent out a tech and then gave him a new replacement.

Panasonic are not what they used to be.

Have been well overtaken by TCL and Hinsense.

Virtually everyone nowadays uses TCL as they are cheap but if you would then watch a real Samsung in comparison, the colors and sharpness is a whole different experience. It's same in most bars with <deleted>ty sound systems, you get used to it and consider it normal, until you hear a proper installation. You get what you pay for, this degenerate thing to think it is just about a brand is retarded.

The same production quality says zero, if just their inverters are different or their processing GPU is different, on any brand TV or model, which can still be produced and assembled in the same factory, is not the same product. That's the entire point.

This entire topic is retarded, it is like the same with people who not seem to get you can get A to G in quality and cost levels from China, while they for decades kept saying the peasant cliche things like 'all that is made in china is low quality' while 80% what they use came from there since already.

You get what you pay for. You have to be really backwards to not understand that a brand like Samsung would love to sell cheaper and just sell more products to every single customers as a direct consequence, if that allowed them to offer the same quality and products.

Agree, and still need to read the specs. Seems AI posted early may be a few months behind. I singled out Panasonic since I mentioned it.

Falls in line with me being a Sony fan for anything with a camera sensor, as my interchangeable lens camera gear and even better drones have Sony camera sensors. Xiaomi / POCO phone, ZLL drone and new FIMI drone.

Last microwave I bought was a Midea (OEM), as name brand one sitting next to it was 500 baht more, same specs, but made by Midea.

With a 3 year warrenty ........ does it matter if it's cheap rubbish?

My TCL 75" is the best Tv I've ever owned, and if it breaks in 3 years, they get to repair it.

After 3 years, they're so cheap, I just buy another.

Had 2x Samsungs fail after 18 months, no repair possible, and they were expensive.

You can view the larger TCL/Hisense in Home Pro.

The smaller ones are on display in Makro.

Obviously, don't buy from those stores as they want 5kbht more than the Lazada Official stores.

Also depends what you're watching on that TV. Entertainment wise, I only watch downloaded torrents, aside from YT or FB, shorts or reels. Our 55" is also my laptop monitor.

Torrents, I prefer 720p, as smaller files, and at 16:9 ratio, as they usually use whole screen without much distortion, too tall or thin actors. My own photo or vids, never smaller than 1080p, or I'll lose resolution.

If watching a CGI movie, like Avatar or such, may download a much larger file.

Hope most realize, what is on display, is formatted for premium results, so don't be too disappoint that your movies don't look as good as the display models you were viewing.

Not always the case majority of brands offer high, medium and entry level models

I was looking at this TCL model last year as it was newly launched 2025 model at the time prices ranged from B70,000 upwards current pricing is

The price of the TCL 85C8K (85-inch, 4K Mini LED) model in Thailand in April 2026 is approximately...49,990 - 85,990 baht Depending on each store's promotions, there are special prices available at Luckydigital , reduced to below 50,000 baht (during certain periods). Prices at leading department stores like HomePro and Power Buy are higher, at approximately 82,000 - 85,000+ baht. It out of stock at luckydigital

B35K seems to be a huge price difference between stores

The 2026 TCL models have been released.

If you look around, you can find some bargains on the 2025 models.

Lazada has some excellent sales.
