You make it sound like there were no trade deals before Trump.

What he has done is create chaos in the markets, then present himself as the only man who can fix the problem he  created.

That is the pattern: first shake the system, scare the markets, create uncertainty, and then sell the “deal” as a victory.

That is giving the markets cancer, then claiming credit for the treatment.

I would not say that it is a 360.

However, I, too, have been anticipating some type of subtle change on the US stance concerning the Taiwan Question.

Except: I do not see how the US will ever accept the forceful reunification. And, the Taiwanese will NEVER agree.

But, if China began firing missiles over Taiwan to land in the sea, on the East Coast side of Taiwan, then......within about three days.....

Taiwan would immediately be dead in the water.

Within hours, in fact.

Taiwan could not survive.

China does not need to attack or blockade Taiwan.
